The San Francisco 49ers didn’t have the 2024 season they had hoped for. They were plagued by injuries all year, and then, to make matters worse, the 2025 offseason arrived — where they lost several players to trades and free agency.
Even with those setbacks, San Francisco made sure to keep some of its most valuable players in the Bay Area. First, they gave George Kittle a record-breaking four-year, $76.4 million extension. Then, quarterback Brock Purdy got his own whopper deal of five years for $265 million.
Now, linebacker Fred Warner is cashing in. The four-time first-team All-Pro has earned a massive three-year extension worth $63 million, with $56 million guaranteed. His wife shared her excitement over the new deal on social media.
Sydney Warner Praises Husband Fred Warner for His Heroics
Sydney Warner has been married to Fred since 2022. She’s been with him through it all, starting when he slid into her DMs after she appeared on “The Bachelor.”
Sydney posted multiple photos of Warner in celebration of his extension on her Instagram story. In a photo of Fred screaming with excitement captioned, “Fred Warner is the highest-paid linebacker in the NFL,” Sydney wrote, “always in awe of you Fred Warner.”

“The best husband, father, supporter, teammate and protector we could have ever prayed for. You are our super man,” she wrote in another post showing Warner jumping for joy.
In the final post, featuring Warner in his 49ers uniform with the word “extended” behind him, she wrote, “Niners for lyyyyyfeee!” along with two heart emojis and a praying hands emoji.
How Did Warner and His Wife Meet?
Sydney Warner grew up in Tuscaloosa, Ala., where she went to high school and the University of Alabama. She appeared on Season 24 of “The Bachelor,” but at the end of the season, she didn’t receive a final rose from Peter Weber. However, Warner saw her on TV and reached out on social media.
At first, Sydney admitted she didn’t know who he was. While she’s always been a big college football fan, her focus was on Alabama and other SEC schools. She knew little about former BYU players.
Nevertheless, the two started dating and got engaged in 2021 before getting married in 2022. In 2024, they welcomed their first child, a son named Beau Anthony.
Warner Has Earned His Extension
The four-time Pro Bowler has earned every cent of his new deal. In his seven seasons in the NFL, the 28-year-old has built a strong résumé. He’s also been incredibly durable, missing just one game during that span.
For his career, Warner has tallied 10 interceptions (two returned for touchdowns), 15 forced fumbles, 10 sacks, and 897 combined tackles. While he will be back in San Francisco for 2025, it remains to be seen whether the 49ers can patch enough holes to make another Super Bowl run.
