Francis Mauigoa’s NFL Draft Potential
At the moment, Francis Mauigoa is my top-rated offensive lineman in the 2026 NFL Draft, regardless of position. He could project either to tackle or guard at the NFL level, but has the skills to thrive wherever he ends up. He’s been a starter for the entirety of his career with the Hurricanes, but particularly in 2025, he’s taken it up a notch as a true tone-setter and standard-bearer on Miami’s offensive front.
At 6’6″, 315 pounds, Mauigoa makes up for his middling length with picture-perfect frame proportions and compact mass. He’s an elite athlete with blistering explosiveness and sweeping range off the line, and he has the foot speed, lateral burst, and recovery athleticism to keep positioning in pass protection while using heavy hands to gather.
Mauigoa will get caught grasping and over-extending at times, which is why a move to guard could ultimately be in his best interest, but at either OT or OG, he has the raw athletic traits, the requisite soft skills, and the mauler mentality to be a stud.
