‘People Just Don’t Get It’ – Former Wrestler Bill Goldberg Reiterates NFL Legend Deion Sanders’ Supremacy

WWE legend Bill Goldberg made eye-catching remarks about former NFL superstar and Buffaloes coach Deion Sanders before the Alamo Bowl.

NFL legend Deion Sanders has turned Colorado into a big brand in the college football arena. Slowly, the program is turning into a powerhouse, and transfers from top schools are making their way to Boulder to play for Sanders in 2025. WWE legend Bill Goldberg is no different and couldn’t be more proud to see his son Gage taking reps in a Colorado jersey.

Bill Goldberg Reiterates Deion Sanders’ Brand Value

When Goldberg’s son Gage signed his letter of intent in February 2024, the former wrestler affirmed his confidence in Coach Prime and his way of leading the program. However, many criticized the move, as Colorado was viewed as a team that played only for clicks and not the championship. But the tables have turned within one year.

Last season, the Buffs finished 4-8, and now they are 9-3 and have an Alamo Bowl ticket against BYU. Goldberg, who has been an ardent supporter of Coach Prime, reiterated his previous comments and explained that Sanders is special.

“People just don’t get it. They think it’s an overconfident thing, but it’s confidence,” Goldberg said while watching his son practice for the Alamo Bowl.

“If you don’t see it, you don’t know when people in this day and age jump to conclusions, always negatively, they’re going to assume. In other words, people like to say that they’re experts about stuff that they have absolutely no idea about. And we’re living in it right now. Because 90% of people around the country had no confidence in our season and what Deion brings to the table,” he added.

Gage Goldberg is a freshman and plays inside linebacker for the team. He attended Champion High School in Texas and led the team to an 8-3 record during his senior season.

He joined the Buffs in 2024 and intends to have a great college career at Boulder.

When Deion Sanders Assured Fans of Not Taking Any NFL Jobs

A couple of weeks ago, there had been several rumors around Dallas Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy’s firing over a poor season. Deion Sanders was constantly linked to the job, and analysts brewed theories about Shedeur Sanders and Coach Prime going as a package deal to the NFL.

But Sanders quashed all such theories and revealed that he would stay in Boulder for the 2025 season. “I love where I am. I’m elated where I am. I’m happy where I am…I can’t wait to see what the future beholds where I am,” Sanders said on “The Pacman Jones Show” via 247 Sports.

He has kicked off a major revamp to the roster considering a lot of players would be leaving for the pros. Just like he said, Sanders has been “hitting the transfer portal like never before.” The winter window closes on Dec. 28.
