Fantasy WR Rankings Week 10: Sleepers, must starts, busts

With Week 9 nearly in the books and most of the top wide receivers having already played, we look ahead to our Week 10 fantasy WR rankings. Being successful in fantasy football means having to constantly monitor things like the waiver wire, weekly must starts based on matchups and trying to find sleepers that your league mates might have missed. With these rankings, we compile all of those things into one place. Below you will find our rankings for the top fantasy wide receiver options.

What to keep in mind heading into Week 10 and searching for the best fantasy football wide receiver

Make sure to check out PFN’s fantasy bye week schedule to keep up to date on who you will need to replace in your lineups. For Week 10, the four teams that are on a bye are the Kansas City Chiefs, Dallas Cowboys, Atlanta Falcons, and New York Jets. This might be the toughest week for fantasy wide receiver rankings considering the names we won’t have available. Guys like Julio Jones, Calvin Ridley, Amari Cooper, Tyreek Hill, and CeeDee Lamb will all be kept off our Week 10 WR fantasy options.

Not only do we lose at least three potent offenses this week, but we also lose four defenses that fantasy football managers have been picking on all season. The Dallas Cowboys defense has been historically bad and has given up insane fantasy points to opposing wide receivers. The same can be said for the New York Jets and Atlanta Falcons. The only defense that has gotten better over the last few weeks is that of the Chiefs.

A couple of matchups to keep in mind for our Week 10 WR fantasy rankings are the Green Bay Packers taking on the Houston Texans and the Los Angeles Chargers taking on the Miami Dolphins. The Houston Texans defense has been awful, and they just made sixth-round draft pick Jake Luton look like the next Patrick Mahomes. Imagine what Aaron Rodgers is going to be able to do. All of the Packers’ weapons are going to get a bump because of their opponent.

There is also one of the more exciting matchups of the Week 10 slate with the Dolphins and the Chargers. This will be a battle between rookies Tua Tagovailoa and Justin Herbert. Both have looked very good, especially last week. Tua put up an impressive 34 points against the Arizona Cardinals in their surprising win. Justin Herbert, on the other hand, has looked impressive in almost all of his starts. This should be a shootout, with all the pass catchers getting in on the action.

Recapping Week 9 in Fantasy Football

Taking a quick look at our rankings from last week, our top five players were Davante Adams, Julio Jones, DeAndre Hopkins, Tyler Lockett, and Tyreek Hill.

Most of them were possible matchup winners, with Tyreek Hill leading the pack thanks to nine catches for 113 yards and two touchdowns. Unfortunately, even in a high scoring affair, DeAndre Hopkins failed to score and only caught three passes for a measly 30 yards. Tyler Lockett also disappointed with four catches for 40 yards.

Finding a replacement for Hill this week might be difficult, but several sleepers are likely still sitting on the waiver wire that you could plug into your lineups. I also expect Hopkins to have a big bounce-back performance against a Bills secondary that is not as dominant as it once was.

Note: Please keep in mind that these are PPR WR rankings. PPR in fantasy means that a wide receiver gets an additional full point for each reception. This can play a big factor when deciding on which guys to get into your lineups and makes volume all that much more important.
