Minnesota Vikings (vs. GB)

Both of these teams have nothing to play for in Week 18. But one of them does not care at all and is just trying to make it out of the game healthy to prepare for the one that does matter. The other is the Vikings.

Minnesota has played inspired football recently, winning four straight. Their season has been over for weeks, but they are still motivated to finish above .500. They can and likely will do that with a win in Week 18 over the Packers.

Last week, Malik Willis helped the Packers light up the scoreboard on a weak Ravens defense. Not only are the Vikings much better, but it won’t be Willis…or Jordan Love.
The expectation is that Clayton Tune will get the start in a meaningless Week 18 game.

Head coach Matt LaFleur already said he plans to rest key players with his team locked into the No. 7 seed. That means one of the best defenses in the league gets a third-string quarterback who has thrown 33 passes in his career, playing with a bunch of other backups and third-stringers in a game where the primary motivation of the players will be to simply not get hurt. The Packers may not score.
