Finding reliable kickers can make or break your fantasy football week, especially when you’re streaming the position. The waiver wire often holds hidden gems that can provide consistent scoring while flying under the radar. Cam Little, Jacksonville Jaguars (at ARI)
Despite the Jaguars hammering the Chargers last week, fantasy managers were disappointed if they started Cam Little. Since the offense was so efficient, Little didn’t attempt a single field goal. He did make all five of his extra points. So that was at least something.
Of course, this won’t be the norm. Most weeks, Little will attempt a field goal or two. Prior to last week, Little attempted three kicks in his previous two games, making all of them. He appears to be over his rough stretch that saw him make zero field goals across two games from Weeks 6-7.
The Cardinals allow the second-most fantasy points per game to kickers. Jacksonville’s offense is typically one that doesn’t necessarily finish every drive. Little is a great streaming option in Week 12.
Zane Gonzalez, Atlanta Falcons (at NOR)
In two games for the Falcons, journeyman kicker Zane Gonzalez, now playing for his fifth NFL team, has put up 18 fantasy points. That ranked seventh (tied) among all kickers in Weeks 10 and 11 combined, and makes him a solid option in fantasy this weekend.
The Falcons are on the road, but will be expected to beat the Saints, who sit at the bottom of the NFC South with only two wins this season. The Falcons will be without starting quarterback Michael Penix, who is feared to be out for the season after aggravating a previous knee injury in Week 11.
In his place, veteran quarterback Kirk Cousins should be able to move the ball on a Saints defense that has allowed an average of 25 points per game this year. Gonzalez remains perfect for Atlanta through two games and should get more opportunities in New Orleans this weekend.
