The Wide Receivers Worth Prioritizing in Dynasty Drafts

It’s never too early to start planning your dynasty drafts, even though the 2026 NFL season won’t start until early September. If you’re looking to get an edge ahead of the rest of your league, you cannot make mistakes when selecting players from the latest rookie class.

With that in mind, here are some of the players you should target when evaluating rookie wide receivers in dynasty drafts ahead of the 2026 fantasy football season.

Why Makai Lemon Could Be the First Rookie Wide Receiver Selected in Dynasty Drafts

According to our PFSN Dynasty Rankings, Makai Lemon is the second-best rookie wideout at WR28 (PPR) and WR30 (non-PPR), falling behind Jordyn Tyson in both cases. However, the fact that the Philadelphia Eagles traded up to select Lemon at No. 20 overall suggests the team will eventually move A.J. Brown in the offseason.

When that happens, Lemon figures to play a significant role in the passing game. The Eagles have elite fantasy potential on offense with Jalen Hurts under center and Saquon Barkley at running back, and Lemon should be one of the primary fixtures in the passing attack.

He has above-average speed, and while his route-running could use some refining, Lemon fell into a perfect environment to be productive right away. He’s one of the most fantasy-friendly wideouts in this class and a plug-and-play starter who should thrive in a productive offense.

Despite being the third wide receiver to come off the board in the 2026 NFL Draft, he should be the first of the bunch off the board in most fantasy formats. He has a solid WR2/WR3 floor and WR1 upside.

Jordyn Tyson’s Path to Fantasy Stardom with the Saints in Dynasty Drafts

Jordyn Tyson was selected with the eighth overall pick by the New Orleans Saints. The brother of Cleveland Cavaliers guard Jaylon Tyson, he has a clear path toward becoming a potential WR1 in fantasy in the near future.

With elite speed, above-average route-running, and the ability to slot at all three receiving positions, Tyson will likely open the year as the Saints’ WR2 behind Chris Olave. He has the potential to become a WR1 sooner rather than later, although the play of Saints quarterback Tyler Shough will play a major role in his production.

Tyson is one of the few wideouts in this class who should have a starting role right away. Even though he wasn’t the first receiver off the board, he fell into a better situation than other wideouts, such as Carnell Tate (Tennessee Titans) and KC Concepcion (Cleveland Browns).

Tyson ranks as the top rookie wideout in our PFSN Dynasty Rankings, which speaks volumes about how he’s viewed in dynasty formats. He should open the season as a WR3 with clear potential to move into WR2 territory before his rookie year ends.

Analyzing De’Zhaun Stribling’s Value Pick in Dynasty Formats

De’Zhaun Stribling was largely considered a reach after being selected with the first pick of the second round (No. 33 overall) by the San Francisco 49ers. However, the 49ers seem high on his skill set, and he will benefit from playing in one of the most stacked offenses in the NFC.

San Francisco is revamping its wide receiver room for the 2026 season. While Stribling won’t open the year in a starting role, he could move into WR3 or flex territory as the campaign progresses.

Stribling’s elite speed will make him a downfield threat, but his fantasy upside lies more in the quality of the offense than his individual prospect profile. His production in college was middling in 2025; he recorded 55 catches for 811 yards and six touchdowns in 15 appearances with Ole Miss.

Why Carnell Tate’s Ceiling in Tennessee Won’t Be High in Dynasty Drafts

Carnell Tate was one of the first surprises in the 2026 NFL Draft after being selected fourth overall by the Tennessee Titans. While he is a talented wideout with the potential to become a star, his status as the top wideout in the class may not reflect his immediate fantasy production.

Tate landed in a less-than-ideal scenario from a fantasy perspective. He will be playing for a Tennessee offense that struggled in 2025, and the team has not added enough reinforcements to suggest a rapid turnaround.

The Titans are in the midst of a rebuilding process. While quarterback Cam Ward could be a solid starter down the road, he is not there yet. Tate may have limited fantasy upside in dynasty formats during the first year of his career, given the environment.
