Las Vegas’ receiving situation continues evolving as Tre Tucker and Tyler Lockett navigate their roles following another week of disappointing offensive performance. Both receivers enter Week 12 with questions about their reliability against Cleveland’s elite defense. Can fantasy football managers trust either Raiders receiver this week?
Tre Tucker Fantasy Outlook
Tucker once again served as the clear WR1 for the Raiders against Dallas. He played 97% of the snaps and led all non-Brock Bowers Raiders with eight targets, tied with Ashton Jeanty for that distinction. This time, Tucker proved more productive than Lockett, though only because he was the recipient of Geno Smith’s lone touchdown pass.
Tucker posted 14.7 fantasy points, marking the first time he cracked double digits since Week 6. The touchdown provided the bulk of his value in a game where the Raiders’ passing attack struggled across the board. Without that score, Tucker’s four-catch, 47-yard performance would have been another disappointment.​

The volume remains encouraging for fantasy purposes. Tucker is on the field and running the most routes among Las Vegas receivers, establishing himself as Smith’s most trusted target outside of Bowers. However, the nature of the Raiders’ offense makes it difficult to trust him on a weekly basis.​
Las Vegas’ offensive line struggles have created constant pressure on Smith, limiting opportunities for downfield passing. Tucker’s value depends heavily on the Raiders maintaining competitive game scripts that allow them to throw, which hasn’t been consistent this season.
Tyler Lockett Fantasy Outlook
Lockett was brought over to the Raiders because of his familiarity with Smith and head coach Pete Carroll from their time together in Seattle. One of the most underrated wide receivers of the past decade, it is very clearly over for Lockett as an NFL-caliber starting wide receiver.
Unless he receives manufactured touches, Lockett is not really going to be able to create anything himself at this stage of his career. The 33-year-old has been very efficient on his targets, catching all but one since joining the Raiders. Last week, though, that efficiency only amounted to three receptions for 33 yards.​

Lockett’s snap share dipped back below 50% against Dallas. He is simply not on the field enough to be fantasy viable in most formats. Over his last two games with Las Vegas, Lockett has recorded eight catches for 77 yards on nine targets.
The veteran appears to have established a relatively stable role in the offense, but that role doesn’t translate to fantasy relevance. Lockett is no longer an explosive downfield threat and depends entirely on short-area targets to generate production.​
Should You Start Tucker or Lockett This Week?
Everything about this game is bad for fantasy. The Browns are one of the worst teams in football, but they have an elite defense. Cleveland allows the 10th-fewest schedule-adjusted fantasy points per game to wide receivers.
Last week, the Raiders went extremely pass-heavy. Smith had 42 pass attempts against a mere eight combined rushes for Jeanty and Raheem Mostert. The strategy did not work as the Raiders were thoroughly dominated by the Cowboys. Typically, when a deliberate game plan like this fails, coaches will pivot.
Even though throwing on the Browns is superior to running against their No. 2 run defense, expect the Raiders to feed Jeanty much more this week after Monday night’s disaster. Additionally, the Browns are trotting out Shedeur Sanders in his first career start after one of the worst debuts for a rookie quarterback in NFL history.​
The Raiders are actually four-point home favorites. That means game script shouldn’t get away from them like it did against Dallas. Even if running isn’t working particularly well, the Browns’ offense is unlikely to force Las Vegas into being one-dimensional.​
Without volume, Tucker and Lockett have very little to offer fantasy managers. Tucker is the preferred option given his snap share and target volume, but neither qualifies as a recommended start in Week 12. Fantasy managers should seek alternatives unless facing desperate roster constraints.
