Kenneth Walker III Fantasy Outlook

Playing time has shifted back toward Walker over the past two weeks. The shift represents another reversal in what has been the league’s most unpredictable committee. Walker has seen his involvement increase after multiple weeks of diminished opportunities, though his production remains inconsistent regardless of snap distribution.

Walker hasn’t hit double-digit fantasy points since Week 4, a concerning stretch that spans seven consecutive games. The consistency issues that have plagued him all season persist. Walker is averaging just 4.5 yards per carry through 10 weeks. That’s a solid number, but his boom-or-bust running style creates occasional explosive plays but mostly generates frustrating results.

Last week against Arizona provided some encouragement as the Cardinals made the Seahawks’ backfield actually look competent. Positive game script kept both backs involved, with Walker and Charbonnet earning 14 carries each in the victory.

Walker has not scored since Week 3. While he has seen a couple more goal line opportunities recently, there’s a reason that job belongs to his counterpart; Walker isn’t very good at it. His role as a two-down back with minimal receiving involvement severely limits his fantasy ceiling.

Zach Charbonnet Fantasy Outlook

Charbonnet’s snap share has fallen below 40% over the past two weeks, marking the first time all season he’s dipped beneath that threshold in consecutive games. The reduced playing time reflects Seattle’s ongoing experimentation with backfield distribution rather than clear performance-based decisions.

Despite the declining snap share, Charbonnet maintains one crucial advantage that separates his fantasy value from Walker’s profile. The goal-line role and touchdown upside provide weekly scoring opportunities that Walker simply doesn’t receive. Charbonnet only reaches fantasy relevance because he happens to fall into the end zone.

Neither back will be efficient on a per-carry basis given their poor vision and decision-making. Both rank among the league’s worst in percentage of carries resulting in zero or negative yards. Charbonnet’s 3.3 yards per carry ranks establishes him as having one of the worst efficiency profiles in recent memory.

However, touchdown equity matters more than yardage totals for backs in committee situations. Charbonnet’s access to goal-line work makes him the preferred fantasy option despite his abysmal efficiency metrics. Fantasy managers seeking floor need to look elsewhere, but Charbonnet’s touchdown potential creates weekly upside.

Should You Start Walker or Charbonnet This Week?

Los Angeles presents a brutally difficult matchup for both Seattle running backs. The Rams allow the fewest fantasy points per game to running backs, creating the worst possible defensive environment. The Rams’ defensive front dominates at the line of scrimmage while limiting explosive plays.

Game script concerns compound the already challenging matchup. Seattle enters as road underdogs against a Rams team that controls games through their passing attack. The Seahawks will likely find themselves trailing, forcing them into pass-heavy game plans that minimize both backs’ involvement.

If you must start one of these backs, Charbonnet remains the superior option just as he has been all season. He has the goal-line role and the touchdown upside that creates fantasy relevance despite terrible efficiency. Walker belongs on benches. He will only produce if he can generate a long touchdown run, which seems highly unlikely against this elite defense.

Both backs qualify as avoidable options in Week 11. Fantasy managers who can afford to sit them should do so without hesitation. This matchup represents one of the worst possible scenarios for an already struggling backfield committee that ranks among the NFL’s least productive rushing attacks.
