The Cleveland Browns will host the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 17. Here’s the latest fantasy football news and advice to help you with your lineups this week and moving forward, specifically regarding QB Shedeur Sanders.
Is Shedeur Sanders Playing in Week 17?
Sanders is not on the injury report, and barring a surprise, he is expected to play.
We’ll continue to monitor the Browns’ injury report leading up to kickoff for any changes. You can also visit and bookmark our Fantasy News Tracker for the latest updates.
Should You Start or Sit Sanders in Week 17?
Have we seen enough to label Sanders as Cleveland’s 2026 starter?
He executed the pregame script at a high level against the Bills on Sunday (first drive: 5-5 for 58 yards and a touchdown, getting four teammates involved) and while there are obvious warts (his first interception was a poorly aimed short pass), there are enough interesting data points to at least have my interest into what is possible if an offense with more talent is built around him.
With over 20 rushing yards in three straight (a single 14+yard carry in each of those starts), I’ve been encouraged by the mobility that we weren’t sure would be a part of the profile.
He’s clearly not an option this week, but if Cleveland can bring in some help, we could be looking at a viable QB2 in superflex settings.
