Fantasy Football Waiver Wire WR Targets Highlighted by Lions’ Isaac TeSlaa

Want the edge in Week 18? This under-the-radar fantasy football pickup could be the difference between winning and losing.

With the fantasy football season nearing its end, wide receiver depth has never been more valuable. As offenses evolve and new connections form, fresh names are emerging in key roles. Some young pass catchers are capitalizing on expanded opportunities, while others are finding their rhythm with improved quarterback play. For managers seeking to fill roster gaps or capitalize on upside in the playoffs, these developing options warrant attention.

Isaac TeSlaa, WR, Detroit Lions

Rostered: 6%

Somehow, Isaac TeSlaa has hit double-digit fantasy points in four of his last five. He’s done this because in each of those games, he’s scored a touchdown. The rookie has an absurd six touchdowns on 15 receptions.

The Detroit Lions have nothing to play for in Week 18. Amon-Ra St. Brown aggravated his knee injury on the final drive last week. He’s not going to play. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Lions rested several key players in a meaningless game.

This puts TeSlaa in at least the WR2 role, if not the WR1 role. Hopefully, Jared Goff is still his quarterback. Regardless, TeSlaa should be in line for his heaviest usage of the season.

Parker Washington, WR, Jacksonville Jaguars

Rostered: 37%

The Jacksonville Jaguars will have something to play for in Week 18. That means we will get the starters.

Parker Washington isn’t just a product of volume. He’s legitimately talented. He’s now posted consecutive games with at least 115 receiving yards and should be viewed as the Jaguars’ clear WR2 ahead of Brian Thomas Jr.

The matchup could not be easier against a Titans pass-funnel defense that Trevor Lawrence should dominate. Washington is at least a WR3.

Jalen McMillan, WR, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Rostered: 2%

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are losers of four straight. Yet, somehow, they still have a chance to win the NFC South. All they have to do is overcome the Carolina Panthers. That means they will be trying.

Jalen McMillan has easily overtaken Emeka Egbuka as the Bucs WR3. He caught seven of nine targets for 114 yards against the Dolphins. While McMillan will still be hard to trust, there’s more upside with him than Egbuka.

Conclusion

Navigating Week 18 requires paying close attention to which teams still have competitive incentives. TeSlaa is a prime target if Detroit rests St. Brown, opening up volume for the rookie. Meanwhile, the Jaguars are playing for keeps, making Washington a trustworthy start over Thomas Jr. in a must-win game.

McMillan also offers intrigue as Tampa Bay fights for the division, and he separates himself from Egbuka. Whether chasing volume on resting teams or targeting motivated offenses, these receivers can help secure a championship.
