Fantasy football never stops evolving, and the tight end position is keeping things interesting heading into Week 10. A few names that were afterthoughts just weeks ago are suddenly showing signs of life, creating tough decisions for managers navigating bye weeks.
Some breakout performances could signal lasting value, while others may prove to be fleeting. Either way, the latest wave of tight end risers deserves a closer look before waivers run, especially for teams battling injuries, depth issues, or uncertain weekly options at the position.

Dalton Schultz, Houston Texans
Rostered: 27%
Last week, Dalton Schultz was a popular streamer with Nico Collins and Christian Kirk out. He let fantasy managers down with two catches for 24 yards. Naturally, this led to managers abandoning him. Of course, he bounces back this week with six catches for 77 yards.
Schultz now has double-digit fantasy points in three of his last four. How sustainable is this? Probably not very. However, Schultz may very well be the second option in the Houston Texans’ passing game. If you need a tight end, you can do worse.

Colston Loveland, Chicago Bears
Rostered: 23%
This is your top tight end add of the week. He might be the top pickup overall. Colston Loveland had his breakout performance in Week 9. It was against the Bengals, who are the worst defense against tight ends. But when talented rookies show signs, we cannot wait.
Loveland caught six of seven targets for 118 yards and two touchdowns. It helped that Cole Kmet left the game, but it stands to reason Loveland will be the primary tight end going forward. Surely Ben Johnson won’t try to put this genie back in the bottle. Do what it takes to get Loveland.

Harold Fannin Jr., Cleveland Browns
Rostered: 42%
Bye weeks tend to cause fantasy managers to overlook players. Harold Fannin Jr. caught six passes for 62 yards and a touchdown when we last saw the Cleveland Browns play two weeks ago.
The rookie has now posted double-digit fantasy points in three of his last four. Ironically, he’s been better with David Njoku on the field than without him.
The Browns do not have a favorable schedule for tight ends for the rest of the season, which is not ideal. However, Fannin continues to maintain a consistent role in the offense and has proven to be at least streamer-worthy for fantasy.
