Kyler Murray, QB, Arizona Cardinals | Questionable

Kyler Murray missed Week 6’s game against the Indianapolis Colts due to a foot sprain. Murray was able to log limited practices throughout the week, so there is a chance that he will be able to return to the starting lineup in Week 7. He is considered a true game-time decision.

If Murray is held out again, Jacoby Brissett will make his second start against the Green Bay Packers.

J.J. McCarthy, QB, Minnesota Vikings | Questionable

J.J. McCarthy has been out until Week 2 thanks to a high-ankle sprain. The hope for the Vikings was that McCarthy would be prepared to return to the starting lineup after the team’s Week 6 bye. Reports suggested that McCarthy could practice during the bye, but his ankle still was not 100% healthy.

McCarthy did log a limited practice on Wednesday and Thursday, although he did acknowledge that the doctor had suggested his injury was a six-week ordeal once he was injured.

On Friday, the Vikings announced that Carson Wentz would once again start for the Minnesota Vikings with McCarthy serving as the team’s emergency QB3.

Making McCarthy the emergency QB3 means that he would need Wentz and backup quarterback Max Brosmer to be injured to enter the game. McCarthy has no fantasy value in Week 7, even with a questionable designation.

Brock Purdy, QB, San Francisco 49ers | Out

Brock Purdy suffered toe and shoulder injuries in Week 1 that kept him out of the lineup for two games. Purdy returned to the field in Week 4, but reaggravated the toe injury. That took him off the field again in Weeks 5 and 6.

Reports before Week 6’s game against the Buccaneers indicated that Purdy was making significant progress and had a chance to return in Week 7. Unfortunately, Purdy did not make enough progress to be active on Sunday. Mac Jones will be under center yet again, this time against the Atlanta Falcons.

Bucky Irving, RB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers | Doubtful

Head coach Todd Bowles has said that Bucky Irving is “not in play” to return to the starting lineup in Week 7. Irving is set to miss his third game of the season.

Rachaad White (78.9% snap share) has dominated the backfield over the last two weeks, and that should continue in Week 7.

Alvin Kamara, RB, New Orleans Saints

Alvin Kamara did not practice on Wednesday due to an ankle injury. This is likely the same injury that occurred during last week’s practice for Kamara. Kamara did practice on Thursday and Friday and does not carry an injury designation heading into Week 7’s matchup against the Bears.

Kamara saw his usual workload during Sunday’s game, so this seems like more of an opportunity to rest him than a development with his injury. Fantasy managers with Kamara may want to check their waiver wire for Kendre Miller so they have his direct backup.

    Chuba Hubbard, RB, Carolina Panthers

Chuba Hubbard has missed the Panthers’ last two games recovering from a lingering calf injury. During that time, Rico Dowdle has led the NFL in rushing (389 yards) and posted back-to-back weeks with 30+ fantasy points per game.

Hubbard does not appear on the Panthers’ final injury report, suggesting that is is good to go in Week 7. He will return to the field in a timeshare with Dowdle.

CeeDee Lamb, WR, Dallas Cowboys | Questionable

The Cowboys decided to keep CeeDee Lamb off the injured reserve after he suffered a high-ankle sprain in Week 3 against the Chicago Bears. Lamb has missed three games so far and has a chance to return in Week 7. Lamb put to rest any speculation about his status in Week 7 on Thursday.

The veteran receiver will resume being the primary target in Dallas’s passing attack in a key divisional matchup against the Washington Commanders. Expect both George Pickens and Jake Ferguson to see a slight decrease in their roles with Lamb back in the fold.

Garrett Wilson, WR, New York Jets | Doubtful

The Jets offense has struggled throughout the season, but Garrett Wilson has been a solid fantasy wide receiver thanks to garbage-time production (16.6 PPR points per game, WR10). Unfortunately, Wilson suffered a knee injury during Week 6’s loss to the Denver Broncos that will cost him a couple of weeks.

Wilson did not participate in practice ahead of Week 7 and is not expected to play, even though the injury report is still listing him as doubtful.

Outside of Wilson, there isn’t much to be excited about in the Jets’ passing attack. Rookie tight end Mason Taylor is second on the team in targets (29). Wide receiver Josh Reynolds was the team’s leading receiver against the Broncos with just three receptions for 25 yards, but he is also nursing a hip injury.

Puka Nacua, WR, Los Angeles Rams | Out

Puka Nacua suffered an ankle injury in the Rams’ Week 6 win against the Baltimore Ravens that took him out of the game. Nacua was able to return, but was clearly limited.

Nacua was officially ruled out on Friday.

Davante Adams is the big winner in the passing attack, but players like Jordan Whittington and Tutu Atwell (if healthy) would see much bigger roles in his absence.

Marvin Harrison Jr., WR, Arizona Cardinals | Questionable

Marvin Harrison Jr. suffered a concussion in Week 6’s loss to the Indianapolis Colts. It is the second concussion that Harrison has suffered in his two NFL seasons.

Harrison will need to go through the concussion protocol to have a chance of playing in Week 7. Harrison was able to log limited practices throughout the week, giving him a chance to play Sunday if he can clear the final steps in the protocol.

Typically, concussions will result in at least one game missed. If Harrison cannot suit up, Michael Wilson and Zay Jones have WR3/FLEX appeal against the Green Bay Packers.

Emeka Egbuka, WR, Tampa Bay Buccaneers | Questionable

Rookie sensation Emeka Egbuka injured his hamstring in Tampa Bay’s Week 6 victory over the San Francisco 49ers. The rookie has seemingly avoided a significant injury, but will still miss time.

The Buccaneers’ expansive receiver room is decimated by injury. Egbuka did not practice on Wednesday or Thursday, putting his status for Week 7 in serious doubt.

Terry McLaurin, WR, Washington Commanders | Out

Terry McLaurin has missed three straight games with a quad injury. The veteran receiver has a chance to return in Week 7 and is expected to return to practice this week.

Unfortunately, McLaurin was not able to practice due to his quad injury, and he was ruled out on Friday.

Washington will continue to count on players like Chris Moore, Luke McCaffrey, and Jaylin Lane to try and replace McLaurin’s production on the field.

Mike Evans, WR, Tampa Bay Buccaneers | Questionable

Mike Evans has not played since Week 3 due to a strained hamstring. Evans returned to practice, logging a limited session on Thursday. He is trending towards playing in the Buccaneers’ Week 7 matchup against the Detroit Lions.

Evans logged a DNP on Friday, but that was part of a scheduled rest day for the veteran wide receiver. He is expected to return to the field in Week 7.

Evans’ return could not come at a better time for the Buccaneers, who are expected to be without Emeka Egbuka and Chris Godwin in Week 7. Evans would become the focal point of the passing attack if he can get cleared this week.

Ricky Pearsall, WR, San Francisco 49ers | Out

Ricky Pearsall missed Week 6’s game with a knee injury. The injury was not considered significant when it happened, but it kept the second-year receiver off the field for two weeks. Unfortunately, the second-year receiver was unable to return for Week 7’s game against the Falcons.

Jauan Jennings and Kendrick Bourne will once again operate as the team’s leading receivers, but the return of George Kittle muddies the target share in this offense going forward.

    DJ Moore, WR, Chicago Bears

DJ Moore was surprisingly hospitalized after the Bears’ win over the Washington Commanders in Week 6. The initial report was that Moore suffered a groin injury during the game that required more observation.

Moore was released from the hospital and returned to Chicago by Tuesday, but his status in Week 7 is up in the air. Moore did not practice on Wednesday, but did log a limited session on Thursday.

He did not appear on Friday’s injury report and is expected to get his usual workload Week 7.

Deebo Samuel, WR, Washington Commanders | Questionable

Deebo Samuel logged a DNP on Wednesday due to a heel injury. Samuel was listed on the injury report all last week with a heel injury, but ultimately logged a similar workload (72.3% snap share) on Monday night.

Samuel did not participate in practice on Wednesday or Thursday, but was able to log a limited session on Friday. That is encouraging for his ability to suit up on Sunday.

Jakobi Meyers, WR, Las Vegas Raiders | Questionable

Jakobi Meyers has logged back-to-back DNPs on Wednesday and Thursday due to knee and toe injuries. He was able to log a limited practice on Friday, giving him a chance to suit up in Week 7 against the Chiefs.

If Meyers is out, the Raiders will be leaning heavily on young players like Tre Tucker, Jack Bech, and Dont’e Thornton Jr. in Week 7. Veteran tight end Michael Mayer would also be in line for a productive day (especially if Brock Bowers is also ruled out).

Josh Downs, WR, Indianapolis Colts | Out

Josh Downs was an unexpected name on the Colts’ injury report. Downs did not participate in practice ahead of Week 7’s game and was officially ruled out on Friday.

Expect Michael Pittman Jr., Tyler Warren, and Alec Pierce to see expanded roles in the passing attack if Downs is sidelined.

Calvin Ridley, WR, Tennessee Titans | Out

The first game for Tennessee in the post-Brian Callahan era may not have veteran wide receiver Calvin Ridley, who missed Thursday’s practice with a hamstring injury.

Ridley was officially ruled out for Week 7’s game against the Patriots on Friday.

With Ridley sidelined, veteran receivers Van Jefferson and Tyler Lockett and rookies Elic Ayomanor and Chimere Dike will see expanded roles in the offense.

Jefferson was the most productive member of the wide receiver room after Ridley left Week 6’s game, catching four passes for 75 yards.

Chris Godwin, WR, Tampa Bay Buccaneers | Doubtful

Buccaneers’ head coach Todd Bowles also stated that Chris Godwin was “not in play” for Tampa Bay’s Week 7 game against the Detroit Lions. Godwin suffered a fibula injury in his second game of the 2024 season.

Quentin Johnston, WR, Los Angeles Chargers

Quentin Johnston missed Week 6’s game against the Miami Dolphins due to a hamstring injury. The injury is not expected to be a long-term issue, and he can return to the field in Week 7.

The veteran receiver does not carry an injury designation into the team’s Week 7 game against the Indianapolis Colts.

Darnell Mooney, WR, Atlanta Falcons | Questionable

Darnell Mooney suffered a hamstring injury in Week 4, but there was hope he wouldn’t miss any additional time due to Atlanta’s Week 5 bye week. Unfortunately, Mooney was out of Week 6’s game against the Buffalo Bills. He was a limited participant in practice on Wednesday (10/15) and Thursday (10/16).

Mooney is expected to play in Week 7, but he will carry a questionable designation into the team’s game against the 49ers.

Jalen Coker, WR, Carolina Panthers | Questionable

Jalen Coker’s practice window was opened during Week 6, but the team ultimately decided not to activate him against the Dallas Cowboys. Coker was logging full practices by the end of the week, meaning his 2025 debut may happen in the team’s Week 7 game against the New York Jets.

Head coach Dave Canales confirmed on Friday that Coker will make his 2025 debut in Week 7 despite appearing on the injury report as questionable.

Brock Bowers, TE, Las Vegas Raiders | Doubtful

Brock Bowers has missed the last two games for the Raiders with a lingering knee injury. There is a chance he could return in Week 7 against the Chiefs, but the Raiders can give him another week of rest with a Week 8 bye on the horizon. Bowers was listed as a limited practice participant on Friday, but things are trending toward him being out this week.

If Bowers is ultimately ruled out, Michael Mayer will continue to operate as the team’s starting tight end. Things seem to be trending that direction after Bowers logged a DNP on Wednesday and Thursday.

George Kittle, TE, San Francisco 49ers | Questionable

George Kittle was eligible to return from the injured reserve in Week 6 after suffering a hamstring injury in the 49ers’ opening game. A strong start allowed the 49ers to give their veteran tight end one more week to completely heal instead of rushing him back to the field.

Kittle is expected to play in Week 7 and has said he is fully healed from his torn hamstring. Head coach Kyle Shanahan confirmed on Friday that the team was going to activate the tight end for his first game since Week 1.

David Njoku, TE, Cleveland Browns | Out

Thanks to a knee injury, David Njoku missed time during Week 6’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. After the game, we learned that Njoku suffered a hyperextended knee. The injury is not considered severe, but it could cause him to miss a short period.

Rookie tight end Harold Fannin Jr. had his best game of the season in Week 6 (10 targets, seven receptions, 81 receiving yards) with Njoku off the field. He would be a top-12 tight end if Njoku cannot play.

Njoku was officially ruled out on Friday, clearing the way for Fannin to see a full-time role on offense.
