Jordan Addison’s Fantasy Projection 2026: Is the Vikings WR Worth a Mid-Round Fantasy Football Pick?

Jordan Addison enters 2026 on a seven-game scoring drought with Kyler Murray arriving. Is the Vikings WR worth a mid-round fantasy football pick?

The Minnesota Vikings drafted Jordan Addison with the 23rd overall pick back in 2023 and have been rewarded with 22 touchdown receptions across three seasons. He’s a big-play maker on an offense that fantasy football managers expect to take a step forward in 2026.

However, with a new QB under center and an increase in target competition, should you be considering the former Trojan when you’re on the clock in the second half of your draft?

Should You Draft Jordan Addison in Fantasy Football?

After signing, Jauan Jennings said he felt like Kevin Durant joining the dynastic Golden State Warriors. There isn’t enough time in a day to fully dive into that, but the confidence is good to see. While I don’t agree with the statement, this is a talented trio that should be excited with Kyler Murray at the controls.

Justin Jefferson is one of the very best in the sport, and his target share is going to remain steady in this Kevin O’Connell system. How effective he is with it depends on the level of QB play (just ask those who rostered him a year ago), but the volume is a given, and that naturally caps the upside of his pass-catching teammates.

I prefer Jennings to Addison because I value mean projections, and I’m not the least bit comfortable in saying that this offense is going to routinely have three pass catchers hit fantasy starting lineups.

Three times in Murray’s career has a player finished with 800+ receiving yards in a season from him (DeAndre Hopkins in 2020, Marvin Harrison Jr., and Trey McBride in 2024). If we take for granted that Jefferson is that player in 2026, how much production is realistically left on the table?

That’s not to say that there won’t be weeks where Addison is viable. There most certainly will be. Your ability to forecast them, however, is iffy at best, and you need to be sold enough to bench a receiver that you spent more draft capital on to play him.

For his career, 39.2% of his PPR points have been scored via touchdowns. I like this Vikings offense to be versatile, capable of hurting the opposition in a handful of ways—a style that adds weekly upside to this profile.

That said, the floor is low (he saw nine targets over the final four weeks of last season, and he enters 2026 on a seven-game scoring drought). For me, Addison is more of a DFS play than someone I am drafting with the realistic expectation that he develops into a player I am truly putting into the flex discussion.
