Jayden Daniels sent shockwaves through the fantasy football world after leaving Sunday’s matchup in visible pain. What initially looked minor quickly became the headline of the night. Early reports bring a mix of optimism and concern, leaving fantasy managers scrambling for answers. The Commanders now face a pivotal stretch as they await further evaluation on their young quarterback.
Jayden Daniels Injury Update
Daniels suffered a gruesome dislocated elbow in the Washington Commanders’ Week 9 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. Initial X-rays have come back negative for a fracture, but additional imaging will be needed to determine the severity of ligament damage.
The injury was to Daniels’ non-throwing elbow, and there is a hope that he can return to play this season. He has not been placed on the injured reserve yet, but it will be a while before we see him return to the football field. Marcus Mariota will be the team’s starter for the duration of his absence.

Down 31 with under eight minutes left, Daniels was sacked while trying to make a play on the doorstep, falling to the ground with his arm caught in about as awkward a spot as possible, dislocating his elbow in the process.
Marcus Mariota is going to get the nod as this team tries to pull this season out of the fire, but this is a brutal spot, and I fear that there will be no reason to rush the Daniels’ recovery process.
