Bijan Robinson is the 1.01 here after piling up 366 touches, 2,298 scrimmage yards and 820 receiving yards last season. Jahmyr Gibbs is 1.02, and I won’t fight anyone who wants to flip them. After that, though, this list starts to disagree with the room. James Cook III is seventh despite going 12.6 overall in PPR mocks. De’Von Achane is 19th while the market has him at 10.2, which is close to a full round I’m not willing to pay for a back whose goal-line and receiving work both got murkier in Miami. Brock Bowers gets the nod over Trey McBride at tight end. Travis Hunter is 132nd, nearly 30 picks ahead of his 160.4 ADP.

Should I Draft Jaylen Waddle in Fantasy Football?
I have been a Waddle believer for a while, and last season did nothing to shake that. He finished as the WR25 at 12.1 fantasy points per game, marking his second consecutive year under 1,000 receiving yards with just eight touchdowns across those 31 games. His catches per game fell from 5.3 over his first three seasons to 3.9 across the last two.
Read that last number carefully. That is a usage collapse, not a talent collapse. He didn’t forget how to separate.

It is worth remembering what this player has already accomplished. Waddle owns a 100-catch season. He owns an 18-yard-per-catch season. He owns a year averaging north of 2.2 PPR points per target. Each of those individually puts him in rare air, and he has all three on his résumé. His career highs of 104 catches, 1,356 yards, and eight touchdowns represent the ceiling of a clear WR1. He is 27 years old, which means that version of him has not gone anywhere.
The situation is what changed, and it changed dramatically. Waddle was stuck with the Miami Dolphins, an offense that ranked 24th in points per drive and 26th in offensive EPA over the past two seasons. You cannot produce what the offense never generates.
Now he lands with the Denver Broncos, who led the entire NFL in pass attempts last season. That is the single most important fact in this outlook. Sean Payton was so committed to acquiring him that he sent three 2026 picks to Miami to get the deal done. Coaches do not surrender that kind of capital for a complementary piece.
The quarterback upgrade is significant, too. Bo Nix is a legitimate step up from what Waddle worked with in Miami, and he is trending in the right direction entering Year 3.
Target competition is thinner than the surface suggests. Courtland Sutton is a perfectly fine complementary receiver, but he is 31, and his efficiency slipped in his second season catching passes from Nix. He profiles as a WR2, not a co-alpha. Payton has said there is no true WR1 on this roster. I think Waddle walks in and claims that title outright.

Put the pieces together, and this is a 27-year-old former alpha with a 100-catch season on his ledger, moving from the league’s most dysfunctional offense to its highest-volume passing attack, with a head coach who paid a premium to bring him in and openly acknowledges the WR1 job is unclaimed.
Waddle is my WR17 against a WR21 ADP. That gap does not fully capture the conviction here. I am as bullish on this bounce-back as any I have in 2026, and I want him on my rosters everywhere the price stays this reasonable.
