The Houston Texans will host the Buffalo Bills in Week 12. Here’s the latest fantasy football news and advice to help you with your lineups this week and moving forward, specifically regarding QB Davis Mills.
Is Mills Playing in Week 12?
Mills is not on the injury report and barring a surprise, he is expected to play.
We’ll continue to monitor the Texans’ injury report leading up to kickoff for any changes. You can also visit and bookmark our Fantasy News Tracker for the latest updates.
Should You Start or Sit Mills in Week 12?
Davis Mills has clearly spent time at the Joe Flacco school of target distrubtion and that gives him a ceiling that is usable in two-QB settings thanks to the superpowers of Nico Collins, but this doesn’t profile as a spot to use him with confidence.
By EPA, the Bills are the seventh best pass defense and second worst run defense. If Houston is going to keep this game tight, it’s because they aren’t asking for much from their backup QB and whenever a team would prefer to deprioritize an asset, I’m not in the business of banking on them.
Mills has cleared 270 passing yards in consecutive games and even if there’s an outside change he extends that streak, I expect this to be a rather empty statistical performance and have him ranked comfortably outside of my top 15.
