David Njoku Injury Update

David Njoku suffered a knee injury during a diving touchdown reception in the second quarter of the Cleveland Browns’ loss to the Tennessee Titans in Week 14. Njoku did not return to the game.

No updates have been given about Njoku’s injury, but his practice participation will provide clarity on its severity. He is not expected to practice on Wednesday.

Rookie tight end Harold Fannin Jr. is already a key piece of Cleveland’s offense, but could be in store for even more targets if Njoku is held out.

Njoku Fantasy Outlook

David Njoku got into the end zone on Sunday in the loss to the Titans, his fourth score of the game, but his troublesome knee was banged up on the play and left him on the sideline for the remainder of the game.

Healthy or not, there’s no reason to be interested in Njoku at this point.

The Browns’ passing game looked better last week, and they are pretty clearly interested in pulling levers that will impact their long-term outlook. In that vein, Harold Fannin not only had the big game (8-114-1), but he doubled up Njoku in the first quarter snaps.

The rookie has been picking up steam for over a month now, and I fully expect that to be the case for the remainder of the season. If you have Fannin, you have the lone asset in this passing game that you can trust; if you have Njoku, you’re burning a roster spot.

David Njoku’s injury leaves fantasy managers in limbo as Cleveland adjusts its offensive approach. While his absence could reshape the Browns’ passing game, rookie Harold Fannin Jr. emerges as the clear beneficiary and a reliable fantasy option.

Until Njoku’s health is clarified, his role — and fantasy value — remain uncertain, signaling a potential turning point in Cleveland’s tight end hierarchy. For now, fantasy managers should monitor practice reports closely, as Fannin’s increased usage and chemistry with the offense could make him a season-defining pickup heading into the fantasy playoffs.
