Chasing production in fantasy football drafts usually means paying a premium for proven volume. Chasing Wan’Dale Robinson this summer means buying into a specific, translatable skill inside of an offense that lacks other options who have proven they can generate consistent passing volume at this level yet. I’m fully on board with the pursuit, and I think this is one of the more underpriced situations this offseason.
Fantasy Football Value Play: Wan’Dale Robinson, WR, Tennessee Titans
Let’s start with the skill itself, because it’s not theoretical. Robinson led Tennessee in targets from Cam Ward in the preseason opener. That’s obviously a low-impact data point, but it’s not nothing.
Winning targets consistently is one of the hardest things to project in fantasy, and it’s exactly the kind of skill that tends to show up early and then compound as chemistry builds. When a player wins that battle before the games even count, it’s worth paying attention, especially for a WR who has excelled at finding holes underneath in consecutive seasons.

Now pair that skill with the offensive environment he’s stepping into. Tennessee ranked 12th in the league in pass attempts and 8th in dropbacks a season ago. That’s a real signal, not a footnote for a team that figures to again be playing from behind with regularity.
They were already pass-centric out of necessity, and even if this offense improves in 2026, “better” doesn’t mean “good” enough to shift away from that identity. This organization is fully invested in the pass game when it comes to recent draft capital, and that has me believing that they continue to air it out when playing from behind.
There’s also a schedule dynamic worth factoring into the value here. If this offense is going to hit its peak form as the pieces gel, the timing lines up well for fantasy managers.
Coming out of their Week 9 bye, Tennessee’s slate reads: vs. Jaguars, at Cowboys, at Jaguars again, vs. Commanders, at Lions, vs. Colts, at Raiders, and vs. Steelers to close it out.
Even if you like this Titans defense a bit, those are shootout-friendly spots and could force Ward into levels of volume where his “boring” WR is profitable for PPR managers on a consistent basis.
The one common objection is Carnell Tate, and I want to address it directly rather than wave it off. Tate should be a productive piece from Day 1. I’m not denying that.
But rookie receiver acclimation isn’t linear, and one solid complementary weapon doesn’t erase the value of a player who has already demonstrated he can win the quarterback’s trust in live reps. This isn’t an either/or bet. Robinson’s skill set doesn’t require Tate to fail; it just requires Robinson to keep doing what he’s already shown he can do and for no other challengers, outside of Tate, to emerge in a meaningful way.

And then there’s the ancillary opportunity nobody’s pricing in enough: moving on from Chig Okonkwo. That’s a real target vacancy at a position that often funnels underneath work: exactly the kind of look that a shifty, target-winning slot receiver can sneak into and monopolize. It’s not the headline of the profile, but it’s the kind of quiet role expansion that turns a solid PPR floor into a genuinely difficult matchup problem for opposing defenses.
Add it all up, and we are talking about a low-risk low-cost profile that you can slip into your PPR lineup whenever needed and feel comfortable in what you’re signing up for. You’ll have plenty of players capable of breaking the slate with 20+ point games, but the impact of those spike performances is greater if you insulate your roster with players like Robinson who can hold serve week in and week out.
