Calvin Ridley’s status has once again become a hot topic in fantasy football circles. After missing time and remaining sidelined at practice this week, questions linger about when he’ll return. The Tennessee offense has shifted gears in his absence, creating new dynamics for fantasy managers to monitor closely. Something’s clearly holding Ridley back, and it might be more concerning than the team is letting on.
Calvin Ridley Injury Update
Ridley has missed two straight games with a hamstring injury. He did not practice on Oct. 29 either, further casting doubt on his status.
The Tennessee Titans’ passing attack has been evenly split between rookies Elic Ayomanor (13 targets) and Chimere Dike (12), as well as veteran wide receiver Van Jefferson (12). Dike (11 receptions for 163 yards and a touchdown) has been the most effective player in Ridley’s absence.

Ridley Fantasy Outlook
The hamstring injury that Ridley suffered in Week 6 held him out for a second consecutive game, and a soft tissue issue for a 30-year-old receiver on a struggling offense is a tough sell.
The lone redeeming quality in this profile is that he’s really the only option, and Tennessee is motivated to give Cam Akers as many in-the-way of live reps as they can. That’s more narrative than a statistical thread that can reliably be pulled on a weekly basis, but we have to sell hope when it comes to filling out our benches.
Ridley isn’t a weekly starter when healthy, and I’d bet against him changing that moving forward. There is, however, a path for him to work into flex consideration as this season progresses, and that’s more than the players on your waiver wire can claim.
