Week 11 Fantasy Sleepers: Don’t nap on Cam Newton, D’Onta Foreman, or Marvin Jones

The best fantasy sleepers are the ones no one's talking about. Here are our favorite fantasy football sleepers for Week 11.

It’s time for fantasy football sleepers — the time when Pro Football Network highlights a few players almost no one is taking seriously but have a good shot at gaining value (and producing solid fantasy production) in Week 11. You want to talk about Patrick Mahomes’ big game? Great. But not here. Here we talk about future fantasy assets that nearly everyone is underestimating.

Fantasy Football Week 11 Sleepers | QB & RB

Identifying sleepers requires shutting out the noise from “experts” and focusing instead on talent, opportunity, and matchups. Here are my favorite deep, deep sleepers for the upcoming week.

Cam Newton, QB, Carolina Panthers

A triumphant return to Carolina was muted by limited snaps. But we still saw glimpses of the talent that remains within this former perennial top-eight fantasy QB.

Forget last year in New England. Cam Newton threw to the league’s least effective collection of receivers, which included one frequently injured WR and two others who have a combined 9 catches for 106 yards this season. None of his three tight ends are still playing in the NFL.

No, this time it’s different. Newton has the offensive weapons to shine. I believe he’ll be a QB1 in the second half of the season, starting in Week 11.

D’Onta Foreman, RB, Tennessee Titans

As I’ve written ever since Derrick Henry was sidelined, D’Onta Foreman is the only RB in Tennessee’s backfield with bell-cow chops. Adrian Peterson has averaged just under 3 yards per carry in his last 16 NFL games (153 rushes for 512 yards). Jeremy McNichols is a solid role player and not much more.

I remain bullish about Foreman, particularly after seeing his usage in the passing game on Sunday. And with Houston on deck in Week 11, fantasy managers would be wise to add him and roll the dice if you don’t have a more surefire RB3+ to plug in.

Fantasy Football Week 11 Sleepers | WR & TE

Which players should you be targeting at WR and TE? Here are our favorite sleepers at the pass-catching positions.

Marvin Jones Jr., WR, Jacksonville Jaguars

When talented players go quiet, I ask myself, “Are they hurt? Have they been demoted? Is their quarterback hurt or incapable of playing at a high enough level?” When it comes to Marvin Jones Jr., the answers are complicated.

While Jones hasn’t been demoted, Jamal Agnew and Dan Arnold have surprisingly started overtaking him in touches. Jones’ blistering opening two games are a distant memory. But do we give up on him? Next weekend’s opposing 49ers have a bottom-10 pass defense. This is a get-right game for Trevor Lawrence, and I believe Jones will get back on track.

Geoff Swaim, TE, Tennessee Titans

Yesterday morning, I wrote a column warning readers about the overvalued Dawson Knox, adding: “I would not be surprised if an unheralded TE like Geoff Swaim outproduces him.” The reason? Knox is the Bills’ No. 6 or No. 7 offensive option.

Whereas in Tennessee, Swaim is likely the Titans’ No. 4 offensive option with Julio Jones sidelined. Touchdowns are great. But targets are key. Swaim has secured 12 of 14 targets in the past three games while scoring twice. He’s a top-16 TE that no one’s talking about. I pushed him last weekend on PFN social media and will keep pushing him as long as he’s a consistent part of the offense.
