The week of January 26 features plenty of action in the NBA world. That means fantasy basketball managers need to prepare accordingly. Streaming is a crucial part of winning each week, so today we will look at five of the top players you should look to add off waivers.
Some of the following players are available in most leagues, while others may be free agents in around half. Regardless, checking to see if each player is available will be important as you prepare for your week.
Naji Marshall, Dallas Mavericks
Marshall has seen an uptick in production given all of the Mavericks’ injuries this season. He’s available in around half of leagues, but that won’t last for long.
The 27-year-old forward is currently averaging a career-best 14.7 points per game on 54.5% field goal shooting. Marshall is also recording 4.9 rebounds and 3.0 assists per outing.

The Mavericks don’t have a game scheduled this week until Wednesday. However, Dallas then plays the second of a back-to-back on Thursday before heading on the road Saturday. The Mavericks will host the Minnesota Timberwolves and Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday and Thursday before traveling to Houston to play the Rockets for the Saturday contest.
Brandin Podziemski, Golden State Warriors
Podziemski is rostered in less than 40% of leagues, so there’s a realistic chance that he’s available in your league. The Warriors guard is worth taking a look at this week.
Podziemski is averaging 12.2 points overall per game.
He’s shooting the three-ball well, recording a 39.3% three-point percentage. He also helps out in other areas of the game with 4.4 rebounds and 3.4 assists per outing.
The Warriors play the second of a back-to-back in Minnesota on Monday before heading to Utah to play the Jazz on Wednesday. Golden State will then finish the week at home on Friday against the Detroit Pistons.
Jarace Walker, Indiana Pacers
Walker has quietly had a productive season with the Pacers. He is only rostered in around 3% of leagues, however. He’s probably a deeper league option, but Walker is not a bad streaming option this week.
Overall, he is recording per game averages of 9.6 points and 4.2 rebounds per outing while shooting over 36% from deep. He’s played well in recent action, scoring 26 points and 19 points in the Pacers’ last two games.
Indiana will begin the week on the road against Atlanta. The Pacers are then scheduled to play the Bulls at home on Wednesday and the Hawks at home on Saturday. With two home games and three overall contests against mediocre squads, Walker could have a big week.
Cam Spencer, Memphis Grizzlies
Spencer is one of the most added players in fantasy basketball right now. He’s still only rostered in around 30% of leagues, but fantasy managers need to act fast in order to pick him up off waivers.
Spencer recently dropped 21 points against the Pelicans. He is likely going to receive more minutes amid Ja Morant’s injury absence. Spencer is averaging 12.0 points per contest overall this season.
The Grizzlies have a favorable fantasy basketball schedule this week. Memphis has four games on the schedule, with matchups against the Rockets on the road Monday, the Hornets at home Wednesday, the Pelicans on the road Friday, and the Timberwolves at home Saturday.
Jock Landale, Memphis Grizzlies
Speaking of the Grizzlies, Landale is another fantasy basketball streaming option this week. Landale is rostered in around 15% of leagues at the moment. The Grizzlies big man is averaging 11.6 points and 6.5 rebounds per game so far this season.
He has also played well in recent action and should benefit from the Grizzlies’ aforementioned schedule. Landale has scored 20 or more points in two of Memphis’ last three games, so fantasy managers who add him will hope he can continue that trend.
