Jason Kelce helped kick off Black Friday in unconventional fashion as his “New Heights” podcast hosted a pregame tailgate event before the Philadelphia Eagles’ game against the Chicago Bears. The former Eagles center headlined a “belly bucking” competition in Lot K, drawing a sizable crowd with a chance to watch Kelce compete in the contest.
Kelce had teased the event earlier in the week with a slate of preselected competitors ready to take part in the surprisingly intense belly-first showdown.
Fans React to Jason Kelce’s Belly Bucking Before Bears-Eagles Game
The tailgate’s main attraction, the belly bucking competition, showed contestants squaring up and colliding bellies until one gained an advantage. Kelce, who participated in at least one of the bouts, surprised fans with how well he performed.
The event added a festive touch to what was already a high-stakes matchup. Kelce is surely a sportsman more than he is a pro bowler. Apart from the impressive performance, the comic element of the entire game also caught the fans’ attention.

Both teams entering the game are at 8-3, positioning the game as a big NFC showdown. The Bears have built a reputation for late-game comebacks, recording five wins this season after trailing in the final two minutes.
The Eagles, meanwhile, continue searching for consistency on offense. After scoring 21 points in the first half against the Dallas Cowboys the previous week, Philadelphia was held scoreless the rest of the game in a 24-21 loss.
Integrating running back Saquon Barkley and balancing touches among pass catchers remain priorities as the team works to avoid the second-half stagnation that has plagued them.
Chicago and Philadelphia also bring a long history into this Week 13 game. The Bears hold a 29-17-1 all-time edge over the Eagles, including postseason meetings, and own a 13-9-1 record in games played in Philadelphia. Nevertheless, the Eagles have won several of their recent meetings with the Bears.
