Ja’Marr Chase has been every bit as advertised since the Cincinnati Bengals took him with the No. 5 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. After four monstrous seasons, the Bengals made him the highest-paid non-QB in NFL history this offseason, but the receiver is yet to buy himself a private jet, apparently.
Chase was spotted traveling in economy class on an airplane, but what made headlines was that he refused to sign an autograph for a fan, who immediately called out the wideout on the plane.

Ja’Marr Chase Refusing To Sign an Autograph Upsets A Fan
There’s no doubt Chase loves his fans, but sometimes the athletes like to be left alone. A similar thing happened with the Bengals receiver when he was approached by a fan on a flight and apparently refused to sign an autograph.
The fan immediately started recording the video and titled it “Should’ve signed that auto, and I wouldn’t have blown your cover.” Chase, meanwhile, remained focused on his mobile and had his face covered to avoid detection before eventually taking a seemingly angry look at the fan.
Awful: A Bengals fan went OFF on Ja’Marr Chase during a flight after Chase denied him an autograph before takeoff.

Chase hasn’t commented on the incident yet and is unlikely to do so since he isn’t obliged to sign autographs in public.
Chase Predicted To Have a Record-Breaking 2025 Season
Chase is already coming off an impressive season with the Bengals, where he led the NFL in catches (127), receiving yards (1,708), and touchdowns (17). Over his first four years, he has accumulated 395 receptions, 5,425 yards, and 46 touchdowns, making him very much deserving of the four-year, $161 million extension he signed this offseason.
The receiver is now the highest-paid non-quarterback in the history of the NFL, and former Bengals receiver Chad Johnson predicted he will have a historic season in 2025.
Johnson replied to a post on X, formerly Twitter, by @PFF with the caption “Ja’Marr Chase is set to run the gauntlet in 2025 ”. The tweet included a graphic that highlights 10 cornerbacks that will be tasked with stopping Chase this year.
Johnson, the all-time receiving leader in Bengals history, replied to the post with his prediction: “2k yards & 23 tds”
Posting a 2,000 receiving yard season, plus scoring 23 touchdowns, would be a monster season for Chase. That production would be great, considering his new contract, and would surely mean good things for quarterback Joe Burrow and the team’s goals of returning to the Super Bowl.
If Johnson’s prediction does come true, Chase could catch his 66 touchdowns to become the Bengals’ receiving touchdown leader. If not the 23, he will just need 21 to overtake Johnson’s decade-long numbers in half the time.
