Ferrari Fans Brace for Disaster Yet Again As F1 Braces for Major 2026 Pecking Order Shake-Up

Early 2026 indicators suggest Formula 1’s regulation reset could upend the pecking order, reportedly leaving legacy teams like Ferrari exposed.

As Formula 1’s major 2026 regulation reset edges closer, early indicators from the paddock suggest a potentially brutal shake-up of the competitive order, and Ferrari supporters are already bracing for the worst.

For decades, Ferrari, Mercedes, and Red Bull have dominated the sport; however, there is now a growing expectation that one of the big teams will plummet down the pecking order in 2026.

Ferrari Fans Fear the Worst As F1’s New Technical Era Approaches

As per information from early reports, insiders are already warning that the 2026 season could punish even the sport’s biggest names. Unlike previous regulation changes, where top teams could rely on superior infrastructure and vast technical resources to recover from slow starts, that safety net is rapidly disappearing.

For decades, Mercedes, Ferrari, and Red Bull enjoyed a built-in advantage through wind tunnels, simulation tools, staffing depth, and manufacturing capability.

However, cost caps, aerodynamic testing restrictions, and the rapid growth of midfield teams have largely neutralized that edge. As a result, the margin for error heading into 2026 is slimmer than ever, and one poor miscalculation could leave even the most established teams alarmingly close to the back of the grid.

When the discussion turned to which major team could suffer most under the new regulations, one fan bluntly asked, “Could it be Ferrari?” The response was swift and unforgiving. “Ferrari. Obviously,” came one reply, reflecting a growing lack of faith in Maranello’s ability.

The Scuderia endured a challenging 2025 campaign, struggling with inconsistency, tire management, and balance issues that even their mid-season upgrades failed to resolve fully.

“Money is on Ferrari or McLaren myself. Ferrari usually sh** job and McLaren being the big team that is only got a customer engine deal,” added another fan.

Despite introducing a significant development package for the SF-25 in July this year, both Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton failed to win a single Grand Prix. Public frustration from both drivers only amplified these concerns.

For a team preparing to enter a major rules reset, such instability has worried fans and raised uncomfortable questions about Ferrari’s technical direction and ability to adapt quickly.

“Ferrari p10?” joked one fan, only for another longtime supporter to double down, “Yeah it’s Ferrari. I don’t know why this is even a talking point. It’s guaranteed that Ferrari will do a bad job as long as Elkann is in charge. I loved Ferrari for 20+ years of watching F1 and always will but they will never win again with Elkann in charge.”

With all the new changes coming in 2026, it is believed that at least one traditional F1 powerhouse could suffer a significant decline in the pecking order.

For Ferrari fans, the fear is painfully familiar: another season of promise, followed by potential disappointment. The F1 championship no longer forgives slow adaptation and severely punishes even the most minor flaws.
