ESPN draft analyst Matt Miller received an outpouring of support from his colleagues after a serious car crash in Missouri last week.

ESPN draft analyst Matt Miller revealed on X that he was involved in a serious car accident in Missouri last week and had to be airlifted to Mercy Hospital as a result. The analyst, who has cut a niche for himself as one of the most respected voices in the NFL Draft space, further revealed that he underwent a life-saving amputation on his left arm afterward.

NFL World Pulls Together for ESPN Analyst Matt Miller After Car Accident

Miller wrote a lengthy message to give an update on his health after the dangerous accident.

“As a result of the accident, I sustained significant injuries, including multiple fractures and broken ribs. I also underwent a life-saving amputation of my left arm,” he said. “While I have a long road ahead, I’m focused on my recovery and taking things one day at a time. Thank you for the overwhelming support, prayers and kind messages — they have meant so much to me and my family during this time.”

Several respected voices in the NFL world sent their best wishes to Miller under the post on X detailing his harrowing accident in Missouri:

Miller’s fellow draft analyst, Field Yates, sent his heartfelt wishes to his colleague on X. “We are all praying for you Matt, as you continue in your recovery process. You have an unmatched strength and determination. We are all here for you in this journey ahead,” Yates wrote.

College football and NFL analyst Chase Daniel was grateful that his colleague was on the mend after the crash:

ESPN senior writer and ‘NFL Live’ analyst Mina Kimes also shared her support for Miller and his family. “Ah Matt I’m so sorry to hear this, and so relieved to hear you pulled through. We’re all behind you. Much love to you and yours this week,” Kimes wrote.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport also sent his best wishes to Miller during his recovery. “Get well and hang in there!!” Rapoport posted.

NFL insider Ari Meirov was distraught at the news of Miller’s crash and serious injuries.

NFL data analytics guru Warren Sharp appreciated Miller’s miraculous survival from the scary crash. “So sorry to hear about this Matt – it’s amazing how fragile life can be. Glad to hear you are going to be ok and prayers for a faster than expected recovery,” Sharp posted.

Well-respected ESPN Senior NFL insider Adam Schefter offered his support for his colleague. “Best wishes for a speedy recovery. We are pulling for you!” Schefter wrote.

Super Bowl champion and current ESPN analyst Ryan Clark also shared a message for Miller and wrote, “Brother I’m praying with you and your family!”

According to ‘KOAM News,’ the harrowing crash happened last week on Wednesday when Miller, who was driving a 2023 Ford Bronco traveling eastbound on Mo-96, crossed the center line and hit a semi-tractor-trailer.

Miller was Bleacher Report’s lead NFL Draft writer between 2010 and 2021 before joining ESPN as a draft analyst four years ago.
