Divisional games are always complicated, and with the Philadelphia Eagles looking to reaffirm their supremacy as one of the best teams in the NFC, they certainly don’t need referees missing calls.
That’s why the fans flooded social media to complain early during Sunday’s game against the New York Giants, as the officials made a costly mistake.
Eagles Fans Call Out Referees Over Missed Holding Call
With Brian Daboll’s team marching down the field, Jaxson Dart found fellow rookie Cam Skattebo for an 18-yard touchdown pass.
The only problem is that Giants center John Michael Schmitz Jr. got away with a blatant hold on Nakobe Dean. With that in mind, flans took to X to call out the officials.
Here are some of the best reactions:
“Yeah, no holding,” one fan said, sarcastically.

“Yeah just gloss over that tackle by the o lineman,” another one said, laughing.

Of course, maybe the Eagles and their fans shouldn’t be getting on the referees’ nerves right now.
They’ve been on the winning end of some lucky breaks and questionable calls all year long, reigniting the talk about how the team should ban their now-infamous “tush push” play.
The play is hard to officiate, but it often looks like the center or the guards are beating the count, making it almost impossible to stop.
Referees are human first and foremost, and they will make mistakes. This time, it just happened to be against them.
