Who Are the Best Superflex Players To Draft in Dynasty?
Our analysts are somewhat split on who is the best player to draft in Superflex dynasty leagues, but ultimately, the answer is a quarterback, and our consensus rankings have Patrick Mahomes ahead of Josh Allen. Kyle Soppe and Derek Tate have Mahomes atop their rankings, while Jason Katz leans towards Allen.
Allen has been the top-rated fantasy QB in three of the last four years, but his style of play raises more injury concerns long-term than Mahomes. Mahomes was the top-ranked QB for fantasy in 2022 but was fourth in 2020 and 2021 and eighth in 2023. Allen has been more consistent than Mahomes and has only missed three games in the past five years, so any injury concerns could be misguided.
Just behind Mahomes and Allen at the QB position are Jalen Hurts, Lamar Jackson, Joe Burrow, C.J. Stroud, and rookie QB Caleb Williams. All seven of those QBs fall into the top 15 of our Superflex dynasty rankings, highlighting the dominance of the QB position.
Alongside those seven QBs are four RBs and four WRs in the top 15 of our dynasty rankings. Bijan Robinson comes out as the top-ranked RB in the consensus, with Breece Hall, Christian McCaffrey, and Jahmyr Gibbs rounding out the remainder of the group. Robinson is the biggest projection of that group after finishing 12th at the RB position as a rookie.
At WR, Ja’Marr Chase, Justin Jefferson, and CeeDee Lamb all sit within the top 10 overall, while Amon-Ra St. Brown is 15th overall. Chase, Jefferson, and Lamb are the clear top tier of the WR group, while St. Brown falls closer to the second tier of players than the top tier.
The top TE in our dynasty rankings is Sam LaPorta, who is 23rd overall. He is more than 20 spots higher in our consensus rankings than Trey McBride (47th overall) and Brock Bowers (49th overall).
