The Atlanta Falcons lost 31-25 in overtime to the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday during the NFL’s first regular-season game in Berlin, Germany.
Atlanta showed moments of promise but was unable to sustain drives, converting none of its eight third-down attempts, a factor that contributed to the narrow loss. When asked about the team’s difficulties on third down, wide receiver Drake London said: “I just run the routes I’m given.”

How Did Fans React to Drake London’s Cryptic Reply

“The Falcons have seriously wasted that man’s first contract but he’s done enough that someone’s gonna pay him when it’s time. If he’s smart he won’t stay in ATL. Same goes for Bijan when it’s time. I’d argue that he’s been wasted more than anyone,” a fan wrote.

London recorded six receptions for 104 yards and a touchdown. Running backs Tyler Allgeier and Bijan Robinson also had productive outings, rushing for 57 and 84 yards, respectively. However, Indianapolis running back Jonathan Taylor was the star of the show. Taylor rushed for 244 yards and three touchdowns. His 8-yard score in overtime secured the win for Indianapolis, which improved to 8-2 on the season.
Meanwhile, Michael Penix Jr., who was Atlanta’s starter, went 12 of 28 for 177 yards and a touchdown. Atlanta’s defense was unable to contain Taylor or the Colts’ passing attack, contributing to the team’s fourth consecutive loss.
The Falcons (3-6) will face the Carolina Panthers next Sunday at home and hope to regain form against a team that is 5-5 on the season.
