Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill is on the mend after undergoing his second wrist surgery and wasted no time updating fans with a confident message. The post gave Dolphins fans reason to breathe a little easier as the team’s top receiver looks ahead to training camp.
Post-Surgery Update of Miami Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill Gets Fans Talking
A Dolphins fan on X captured the news after Hill posted an update on his Snapchat.
“Based on @cheetah Snapchat, his second wrist surgery was a success. Great News #PhinsUp”
In the photo, Hill is seen lifting his right hand, appearing to wave at the camera. His hand is wrapped in a cast. The caption read, “Mission Successful!”
Hill played through the wrist injury all last season after hurting it in the preseason during a joint scrimmage with the Washington Commanders. There was ligament damage, and Hill underwent his first surgery at the end of the season in the last week of February.
It’s still unclear what Hill’s recovery timeline looks like, but Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel previously said he expects the veteran WR to be ready for training camp. Hill had been participating in voluntary workouts before the second surgery.
Hill finished last season with 81 receptions for 959 yards — his lowest total as a Dolphins player and the third-lowest of his nine-year NFL career.
Unlikely Dolphins Trade Hill This Offseason
At the end of last season, there was speculation that Hill could be traded. The wideout added to the chatter after pulling himself from the regular-season finale against the New York Jets. He also hinted at uncertainty during a postgame interview, saying he would do what was best for his career, “whether that’s here or wherever.”
Hill added, “I’m out.”
The Dolphins spoke with Hill during the offseason but didn’t appear to seriously consider trading him. Hill later walked back his comments during his media appearances at the Super Bowl.
“I’m taking full accountability for what I said. I don’t deserve to say anything like that. Miami Dolphins. They’re paying me to play there, and they’ve been very good to me. So why am I going to go out and say the things I said? I fully take them back.
“I’m going to take full accountability and come back next year — hoping to still be there — and bust my tail for the team, for the guys, for the fans, for the whole city. I want to stay with the Dolphins.”
Now, it’s looking more and more likely the 31-year-old will be back for his fourth season in Miami.
