Tyreek Hill took over the NFL trade rumor mill at the end of the 2024 season after his comments following the Miami Dolphins’ regular-season closer. As an epic social media troll, the dynamic wide receiver did nothing to stifle the rumors, instead egging the conversation on with his antics.
After it initially felt like Hill could be on his way out, seemingly indicating he wanted to be somewhere else after missing out on his postseason, he corrected course in free agency. His latest activity on TikTok suggests the drama will continue.

Tyreek Hill Once Again Ignites Trade Rumors
An uncomfortable exit interview led many to believe that Hill moving out of Miami was all but official this offseason. However, an apologetic interview with Kay Adams on “Up & Adams” put those ideas to rest. Yet, the former Kansas City Chiefs star looks like he’s back to his trolling self.
A TikTok went viral where Hill seemingly saw news of the Dolphins exploring trade possibilities, with the caption reading, “Seeing your team may actually trade you.”
Mimicking seeing the news, the eight-time Pro Bowler responded with, “Oh Lord!” before looking around in disbelief, a popular audio using a clip from a LeBron James commercial.

The video is not out of line with Hill’s typical social media activity, as he consistently makes light of such rumors. However, if a trade were to come to pass, there are certainly plenty of teams who could be interested. The Washington Commanders and the Green Bay Packers could be potential destinations.
The Dolphins are very cash-strapped, leading to a relatively quiet offseason. Trading Hill would certainly open up money. And with his production seeing a dramatic decline last year, Miami might at least consider it.
Last season, Hill had his worst year since 2018. He finished with less than 1,000 yards after going over 1,200+ yards in his previous four seasons and 1,700+ yards in his previous two, his first seasons in Miami. As a result, he wasn’t named to the Pro Bowl after eight consecutive selections.
Still, Hill being traded seems unlikely. He apologized for the comments made in his exit interview and was even present at the retirement party for veteran teammate Terron Armstead.
With other Dolphins like Tua Tagovailoa and Jaylen Waddle, alongside head coach Mike McDaniel also in attendance, a trade happening this deep into free agency would be a true shocker. But stranger things have certainly happened in the NFL.
A draft-day move cannot be completely ruled out, though, especially as the controversial superstar continues to stoke the flames.
