‘Fire Mike McDaniel, Fire Chris Grier’ — Dolphins Fans Send Strong Message for HC-GM After Brutal Loss vs. Panthers

Just a week after their convincing victory over divisional foe the New York Jets, the Miami Dolphins are again in the loss column.

In a close-fought battle, head coach Mike McDaniel and the Dolphins notched their fourth loss of the season with a 27-24 defeat to Carolina.

Dolphins Fans Erupt Following Loss to Unpredictable Panthers Squad

Without star receiver Tyreek Hill, the Dolphins were unable to muster a victory yet again, this time losing to a 1-3 Carolina club (now 2-3).

With the Dolphins crumbling rapidly, fans have had enough of McDaniel and even general manager Chris Grier.

“I have never said this but fire Mike McDaniel and Chris Grier,” a Miami fan wrote.

As things go from bad to worse, quarterback Tua Tagovailoa agrees changes must be made. Tagovailoa’s claim pushes some fans to the brink, calling for a benching of the starting quarterback as well.

“So he agrees, fire McDaniel, fire Grier, and bench him,” one X user said.

Some Dolphins fans believe benching the Alabama product is the answer, while others are going as far as wishing for a trade involving the sixth-year QB.

“Fire McDaniel and trade Tua,” a Dolphins fan wrote in response to the final score graphic posted by Miami’s X account.

According to PFSN’s QB Impact metric, Tagovailoa ranks 13th out of 37 eligible quarterbacks. While his ranking may not appear all too awful, his interceptions (4 entering this week) rank 31st amongst quarterbacks. Along with that, the 27-year-old’s 752 passing yards plots him 25th in the NFL.

The Dolphins are now 1-4 in a competitive AFC and must act fast to save their season.

Fans Call for Dismissal of Head Coach As Soon as Monday

With the loss on Sunday, Miami fans have seen enough, demanding the firing of their head coach immediately after their fourth loss of the season.

“There’s no way the Dolphins keep Mike McDaniel after today right?” An X user asked after the 27-24 Sunday defeat.

Jumping on the fire McDaniel wagon, one multi-decade Dolphins fan has seen enough.

“If Mike McDaniel is still the head coach of the Miami Dolphins tomorrow I may have to really consider finding a new team after 30 years,” a passionate Miami fan wrote. “The combination of bum Tua and McDaniel is putting this franchise further and further into a whole week after week.”

Several more fans added that McDaniel should hit the road as soon as tomorrow saying, “Mike McDaniel might get fired tomorrow.” Another added, “Does Mike McDaniel still have a job tomorrow?”

One X user even called out Miami’s owner, Stephen Ross, to enact change.

“I wish Stephen Ross would grow a pair and fire Mike McDaniel, enough already,” wrote the aggravated Dolphins fan.

With four of their next five opponents hailing from the AFC, it is vital that Miami turns things around. However, the question remains: Will management make the moves necessary to achieve success?

The one constant during this 10-year period of utter mediocrity is GM Chris Grier. How owner Stephen Ross is blind to this is completely ridiculous. Not only does Mike McDaniel need to be fired, immediately, Ross also has to send Grier packing. Why does Ross continue to remain so loyal to Grier who continues to fail at his job?
