The Tennessee Titans selected Cam Ward with the first overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, and it did not surprise anyone. Being the first pick comes with perks but also high expectations.
First-round picks earn higher rookie salaries than players taken in later rounds. They also receive fifth-year options on their contracts, allowing teams to keep them an extra year. But there’s pressure, especially for top-10 picks, since they’re usually chosen by the NFL’s lowest-performing teams.
With those expectations comes fame; many top picks become instant household names. And with stardom comes curiosity about their personal lives, especially who they might be dating.
Is Cam Ward Currently Dating Anyone?
Ward had a fast rise to success since transferring to Miami. A native of West Columbia, Texas, he wasn’t a top recruit in high school. He committed to the University of the Incarnate Word, a small Catholic university in San Antonio, because it was the only school that offered him a scholarship.
While at Incarnate Word, Ward met his current girlfriend, Nailah Landon, in 2020. Landon is also an athlete. She played volleyball in college and ran track, as well as basketball and volleyball in high school.
Ward played two seasons at Incarnate Word before transferring to Washington State. He spent just one year there. After considering the 2024 NFL Draft—where he would’ve competed with quarterbacks like Jayden Daniels, Caleb Williams, and Drake Maye—he chose to use his final year of eligibility and transferred again, this time to Miami.
Landon and Ward reportedly started out as friends before becoming a couple. While there are a few TikToks of them together over the years, they mostly keep things private.
They may prefer to stay out of the spotlight, but like many couples, they sometimes share their happy moments on social media. Landon celebrated when Ward was named a finalist for the Heisman Trophy. The two were also seen vacationing together, as shown in some photos on Ward’s Instagram.
Ward’s one season at Miami was his best yet. He completed 305 passes for 4,313 yards and 39 touchdowns, throwing just seven interceptions. His quarterback rating was 88.7.

Previewing Falcons vs. Titans Preseason Week 2 Game
The Atlanta Falcons come into Week 2 of the preseason following a 17-10 loss to the Detroit Lions last week. Starting quarterback Michael Penix Jr. is unlikely to play against the Tennessee Titans, but it will be a great opportunity for other players to make a positive impact.
The Falcons have a pretty good roster, and anything less than making the playoffs will be a failure for them this season. As a result, their players need to step up in the remaining preseason games and be ready to start on a high note in Week 1 against the Buccaneers.
The Titans lost 29-7 to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in their preseason opener. However, their first overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, Cam Ward, impressed everyone despite not playing much.
Against the Buccaneers, he completed 5/8 of his throws for 67 yards. People around the league are high on the Titans’ rookie, and it will be interesting to see how he plays against the Falcons on Friday night.
The Titans’ fans and organization will be happy even if the team has a poor record as long as Ward has a stellar rookie season. Head coach Brian Callahan is under pressure, and a poor season from the rookie quarterback could cost him his job. Hopefully, he will get the best out of Ward, similar to what he did with Joe Burrow during his time in Cincinnati.
