Chicago Bears wide receiver DJ Moore was looking to play a role in helping the Bears take down the Green Bay Packers at a cold, windy Soldier Field on Saturday night in Chicago. However, in the first half, the star receiver failed to make any significant impact.
What’s Happening With Bears WR DJ Moore?
When it comes to making catches, though, Moore does not have a reception as the Packers held a 6-0 lead at halftime.
Moore, though, does have one carry for 12 yards. That’s not his primary role in the Chicago offense, but head coach Ben Johnson probably will take any contribution he can get from Moore at this point.

But Chicago quarterback Caleb Williams came out firing in the third quarter, hitting Kyle Monangai out to his right. The running back saw some open field and motored deep into Green Bay territory. Eventually, Cairo Santos came on and hit a beautiful 46-yard field goal for Chicago, making it 6-3 Packers.
Santos played the wind at Soldier Field perfectly, kicking the ball toward the middle of the goalposts, and the ball swerved right between them.

According to PFSN’s WR Impact Metric, Moore is the 58th-ranked receiver in the league. Still, the Bears star has time to make an impact against Chicago’s longtime rivals. Should their defense keep Packers backup quarterback Malik Willis in check, then Williams can look for Moore when Chicago has the ball.
The Bears really want to make it difficult for Green Bay in front of their home fans. Look for Moore to be more involved in Chicago’s offense in the second half.
However, the Bears will not have to deal with Green Bay’s starting quarterback, Jordan Love, who was hit hard by a Bears defender in the first half, forcing him to leave. At halftime, Fox Sports reporter Erin Andrews said that Love would miss the rest of Saturday night’s game with a concussion.
Don’t be surprised if the Bears and Packers get involved in some extracurricular activities on the field. Both teams know what is at stake Saturday night. Who will rule the NFC North Division after the game? That’s what the Bears and Packers are looking to settle on a really cold night in the Windy City.
