DJ Giddens turned heads in college, but his parents were in his corner from the very beginning. Here's a look at the people who raised him.

Kansas State Wildcats running back DJ Giddens, like many prospects in the 2025 NFL Draft, is still waiting for his name to be called. Giddens has put in the time and effort in college, and now it’s time for him to get his reward.

Who Is DJ Giddens’ Mother and Father?

Giddens’ mother is Monique Giddens, an avid fan of the team, according to Essentially Sports. Monique reportedly traveled far to watch her son’s games, delivering unwavering support — and she made sure not to miss any of them.

The Kansas State prospect’s father is David Giddens, who traveled with Monique to every game to watch DJ play, loudly cheering for his son from the stands.

Throughout his career, the Kansas State RB has spoken about his feelings toward his parents on multiple occasions.

“I wouldn’t be where I am today without my parents,” Giddens said. “Their support means everything to me, and I am grateful for everything they have done.”

“My parents have always been there for me,” he added.

Giddens’ parents watched him deliver convincing production each season. He started with 518 yards and six touchdowns in his freshman season with the Wildcats, increasing those totals to 1,226 yards and 10 touchdowns in 2023.

Giddens’ parents watched as he finished with his best yards per carry average and greatest rushing total in his college career in 2024. Now, they’ll watch their son join an NFL franchise.

Giddens’ Potential Landing Spots in the 2025 NFL Draft

The Kansas State RB prospect saw some backs come off the board in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft, but there are still starting roles available.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are one team, for instance. According to PFSN’s Offense+ metrics, the Steelers ranked 25th in offense last season, and after moving on from Najee Harris this offseason, they should be in the market for a running back.

The Denver Broncos — who selected cornerback Jahdae Barron with their first-round pick — are another team still in need of an RB.

Then, there are the Indianapolis Colts, who have several needs, but could use a running back to help finish off the room if Giddens slips far enough.

Of course, with teams like the Steelers and Broncos in stronger need of a running back, those seem like the more likely landing spots for Giddens coming out of the 2025 NFL Draft.
