The Cleveland Browns have probably spent more time in the national media than any other team in the league, thanks to their bizarre quarterback situation.
Now, onto quarterback number three, the fiancée of the benched rookie, Dillon Gabriel, took to social media to voice her displeasure over how the team is handling all of this.
What Did Dillon Gabriel’s Fiancée Say on Social Media About the Browns?
The Browns started the season off with an overabundance of quarterbacks, five in total: Deshaun Watson, Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, and rookies Dillion Sanders and Shedeur Sanders.
Cleveland is desperate to get out of the losing rut they are in and chose to start Flacco since Watson is on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list and they traded Pickett before the start of the season.
Flacco was benched after a 1-3 start in which he threw six interceptions to only two touchdowns in four games. Many fans demanded that the team start Sanders over Gabriel, despite being drafted two rounds after him. However, head coach Kevin Stefanski stood by his decision, and Gabriel took over under center.
Gabriel suffered a concussion during their Week 11 loss to the Baltimore Ravens, and Sanders replaced him. In Week 12, Gabriel still wasn’t cleared to play, so Sanders got his first official start. He helped them pull off a 24-10 over the Las Vegas Raiders, and fans were thrilled.
When Week 13 came, head coach Kevin Stefanski said that Gabriel was cleared to play, but they intended to stick with Gabriel. However, they lost and lost badly to the San Francisco 49ers, 26-8. Despite the loss, Stefanski has already named him the Week 14 starter. Gabriel’s fiancée, Zo Caswell, took to social media to voice her displeasure.
She made a TikTok video of her picking out her gameday outfit for the 49ers game and at she took a shot at the team in her caption. “Browns loss what’s new” and followed it up with the crying-laughter emoji.

There were also comments on social media that Caswell insists that “everyone in the building wants him to play,” referring to Gabriel. However, Stefanski has been clear that they are sticking by Sanders, at least for now.
Many took to the comments to call Caswell out for being negative and not supporting the team. She said she had no ill intentions.
“I completely support the team 100%! Gotta laugh about the losses or else we’ll cry,” responded Caswell.
Neither rookie quarterback has performed exceptionally well. However, that feels understandable given that they are both mid to late round picks who need time to develop.
According to PFSN’s QB Impact metric, Gabriel has a grade of F with a score of 51.5. He played in eight games, starting six. He attempted 184 passes, completing 109 of them for 937 yards with seven touchdowns and two interceptions. That gives him a completion percentage of 59.2%. His record as a starter isn’t any better than Sanders, at 1-5.
Caswell is going to have to learn to do the dance that so many NFL significant others have had to learn. She needs to be able to support her man while still supporting the team.
