DeVonta Smith Playfully Confronts Eagles Security Guard With 5-Word Threat

Wide receiver DeVonta Smith jokingly clapped back on social media about a security guard who took a second look at his fiancé.

The Philadelphia Eagles like to win on and off the field.

Week 3 featured a matchup between the Eagles (3-0) and the Los Angeles Rams (2-1) at Lincoln Financial Field. Philadelphia kept its undefeated streak alive, topping the Rams with a final score of 33-26 thanks in part to wide receiver DeVonta Smith.

DeVonta Smith Jokingly Mouths Off to Security Over Fiancé

Smith concluded the matchup against Los Angeles with eight receptions for 60 yards and one touchdown.

His fiancé, Mya Danielle, was also in the building and stunned many with her pregame look. Apparently, the many included an Eagles security officer who could be seen craning his neck to get a second look at Danielle as she walked onto the sidelines.

“Aye security better watch out,” Smith commented with laughing emojis on Danielle’s Instagram which featured a video of her game look.

His comment has quickly garnered over 10,000 likes.

Danielle is a graduate of Southern University and A&M College in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and has since been very active on social media through Instagram and Tik Tok.

Smith proposed to Danielle on New Year’s Eve in 2024. The pair’s relationship became public in January of 2023. The two welcomed a daughter together in October of 2023 and recently welcomed their second child in April.

Smith, a Louisiana native like Danielle, played college ball at the University of Alabama and was picked by Philadelphia with the No. 10 selection of the 2021 NFL Draft. He currently has 4,140 receiving yards and 28 touchdowns across 323 receptions in his career.

He became the first wide receiver in nearly three decades to win the Heisman Trophy in 2020 after turning in one of the most impressive seasons ever by an NCAA pass catcher. Transiting back to his present in the NFL, Smith also made headlines in the most recent Super Bowl due to his 46-yard touchdown catch.

The 6’0″, 170 pound wideout is coming off a 2024 season that saw him tally 833 yards and a career-high eight touchdowns.

Danielle additionally recently made headlines for hand delivering a signed Smith jersey to an Eagles fan battling cancer. The patient’s daughter direct messaged Danielle on social media, sharing that her mother’s favorite player is Smith.

The Eagles and Smith next turn their attention to packing their bags for a trip down to Tampa to play the Buccaneers on Sunday, Sept. 28. Kickoff is slated for 1:00 p.m. EST.
