After tying the knot on Thursday, July 3, Deshaun Watson and Jilly Anais embarked on their Fourth of July honeymoon. The Cleveland Browns’ starting quarterback might not know his status on the field, but he’s officially a married man off the field. Injury concerns and quarterback depth aside, Anais made it clear the two were enjoying their vacation after officially getting married just a few days ago.
The timing couldn’t be better for Watson, who’s faced plenty of uncertainty in recent years. Now, he has something stable in his personal life, even as questions swirl around his football future.

While her photo doesn’t show much, the message is crystal clear. Watson and Anais are enjoying their time out on a boat, sipping drinks as Anais wrote, “Woke up on my honeymoon with my Husband.”
Her Instagram story included a heart emoji, showing the two didn’t wait long to tie the knot. Back in March, Watson got down on one knee to propose to Anais, whom he had been dating since 2019. Throughout all the controversy in Watson’s NFL career, Anais has stuck by his side, and the two made it official on their sixth anniversary.

Anais is a well-known Sports Illustrated swimsuit model, and she hasn’t been shy about showing off her wedding ring. Watson spared no expense, as the ring reportedly set him back roughly $2.5 million. Most working-class people don’t make that in a year, but it was the least the Browns quarterback could do after signing a $230 million guaranteed deal.
Even with the team restructuring his contract, he’s set to make $92 million guaranteed in both 2025 and 2026. Watson remains the starter for now, but Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, and the team’s newest draft picks, Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders, are all hungry to take over that spot. The competition should keep Watson sharp, assuming he can stay healthy.
After making their relationship public in 2019, the two first met at a restaurant in Los Angeles. Both were in LA at the time, even though Watson was wrapping up his tenure as the Houston Texans’ quarterback. His 2019 season was nowhere near what he produced in 2018 or 2020, but his on-field struggles didn’t matter since he met the love of his life.
The couple’s relationship has weathered plenty of storms. Watson’s legal troubles and trade drama could have torn them apart, but Anais stayed loyal throughout the chaos. That kind of support means everything to a player dealing with constant scrutiny.
Besides modeling, Anais is known for her work as a social media influencer and singer. On her YouTube channel, Watson appeared in a 2020 video where the two talked about their friendship and early interactions. The chemistry between them was obvious even then.
Despite his guaranteed money, Watson has appeared in just 19 games for the Browns during the past three seasons. The seven games he played last season were the most since arriving in Cleveland, though it’s nowhere near the quality of play he once had. Browns fans are hoping marriage brings him some stability and focus he’s been missing.
The honeymoon won’t last forever, and Watson will need to prove he can still play at an elite level. For now, though, he’s enjoying life as a newlywed with someone who’s been in his corner through everything.
