Derrick Henry’s Contract, Salary, and Net Worth: Examining the Ravens Star’s Massive New Deal After Historic Payday

Derrick Henry, over a 10-year NFL career, has solidified himself as one of the best running backs to ever play the game. A sensational collegiate career paved the way for a spectacular run in the league.

During his time, he’s earned four All-Pro and five Pro Bowl selections, while leading the league in rushing yards twice and rushing touchdowns thrice. A former Offensive Player of the Year in 2020, Henry’s success on the gridiron has also coincided with some fantastic contracts and career earnings.

What Is Derrick Henry’s Contract and Salary?

Over the last couple of seasons, the running back position has seen a mini-renaissance in the NFL. Henry has been front and center of the action, leading the league in touchdowns last season, while earning a Pro Bowl in each of the last three years.

In 2024, he departed the Tennessee Titans after being drafted by them in 2016, signing with the Baltimore Ravens on a two-year, $16 million contract. The money was seen as a steal at the time for the Ravens given his production, but on the other side of 30, Baltimore had to exercise some caution.

However, Henry was just as good as advertised, if not better. Racking up 1,921 yards and 16 touchdowns, he was a key reason for the Ravens having the second-best offense in the entire NFL last year, per PFSN’s Offense+ metric.

His incredible contributions led to a significant upgrade in his pay scale, as it increased almost twofold. Key NFL insider Adam Schefter broke the news of the two sides agreeing on an extension to keep Henry on the Ravens for the next few years.

“Derrick Henry and the Baltimore Ravens reached agreement today on a two-year, $30 million extension that includes $25 million fully guaranteed over the next two seasons, per Todd France of Athletes First. It is the largest deal in NFL history for a running back over 30 years old.”

In terms of average annual salary, it’s the largest deal Henry has signed to date. However, in total amount, his four-year contract with the Titans from 2020 to 2023 summed up to $50 million.

Spotrac reported that the superstar running back would be making a base salary of $6 million in 2025, alongside a roster bonus worth an additional $1 million.

Henry’s Net Worth and Career Earnings

Henry’s net worth is estimated to be approximately $12 million. This number seems a bit low considering his career earnings. Throughout the course of his career, Henry has earned $67,472,749 from his NFL contracts alone.

Keep in mind that Henry’s career earnings figure doesn’t factor in his endorsements. Over the years, the veteran RB has partnered with several brands, including Nike, Old Spice, Campbell’s Chunky, Geico, and Pizza Hut.

Also, Henry is a minority investor in the MLS team Nashville SC. In 2022, he joined the team’s star-studded ownership group, which also includes actor Reese Witherspoon, NBA star Giannis Antetokounmpo, NHL star Filip Forsberg, and Minnesota Vikings owner Zygi Wilf.

“As a kid growing up in Florida, I imagined being a professional sports owner, and the opportunity to do that with a Major League Soccer club is truly a dream come true,” Henry said at the time. “My investment in Nashville SC is way more than financial, it’s truly an investment in the city of Nashville, Tenn.

“The chance to be part of a club like Nashville SC, especially after seeing what they are accomplishing in the community, was an opportunity I did not want to miss.”

Henry is thriving on and off the field, and he’s been worth every penny that the Ravens have paid him thus far.
