The Denver Broncos clinched the No. 1 seed in the AFC with their current roster. But when their 2025 NFL season is over, nearly half of their roster will hit free agency. So, let’s take a deep dive to know more about the potential free agents of Sean Payton’s team.
List of All the Denver Broncos’ Free Agents in 2026 NFL Offseason
During the 2025 NFL regular season, the Denver Broncos finished with a 14–3 record, tying the franchise record for wins in a single season (set in 1998) and claiming first place in the AFC West under head coach Sean Payton.
Offensively, Denver totaled 5,825 yards, showing balance with 3,931 passing yards and 2,018 rushing yards. Quarterback Bo Nix led the offense with 3,931 passing yards, while Courtland Sutton paced the receiving corps with 1,017 yards, and J.K. Dobbins led the rushing attack with 772 yards on the ground.
Defensively, the Broncos were among the NFL’s elite units, allowing roughly 18.3 points per game and ranking near the top of the league in total yards allowed. Denver’s pass rush was a major strength throughout the season, finishing with 68 total sacks.
But this roster will miss some of the players who will hit free agency.

However, the Broncos are known for re-signing players for another season.
The Denver Broncos have moved aggressively to secure players who were nearing the end of their contracts. Following their bye week in Week 12, the team finalized multi-year extensions for kicker Wil Lutz, center Luke Wattenberg, and defensive lineman Malcolm Roach, signaling a clear commitment to roster continuity.
Those deals add to a growing list of long-term investments, with Denver handing out new contracts to some core players over the past two years, and additional extensions potentially still in the pipeline.
But to do that, they need to address cap space availability first. The Broncos have $41,950,639 cap space for the 2026 NFL season, according to Spotrac.
