Price passed away on Tuesday, February 10, after a tough battle with cancer. She was a symbol of unwavering loyalty and was known for passionately backing the team, season after season.

NFL World Pays Tribute as Beloved Cowboys Superfan Passes Away

Price, a longtime healthcare professional and a great-great-grandmother, had been battling cancer, according to social media posts shared by her daughter. She was 82 years old at the time of her passing.

Price, who was also known as “Ms. Price”, was a legendary Cowboys superfan whose passion and presence were instantly recognizable to generations of fans, players, and NFL followers alike.

According to NBC DFW, she had followed the team since the 1960s and attended Cowboys training camp for more than 30 years. She said that she was always “excited as usual” ahead of training camp and noted that fans frequently recognized her.

And after he passed, the Cowboys’ star linebacker, DeMarvion Overshown, paid a heartfelt tribute to Ms. Price. “Saddened by the news of Miss Price⭐️. Cowboys Nation will truly miss your presence, but your spirit will forever live on! Condolences 💐 to the family🙏🏾,” he wrote on X.

Charean Williams, a Hall of Fame voter with 30 years of NFL coverage experience, reacted to the news of Ms. Price’s death.

Williams shared her last message to the Cowboys superfan, saying, “Ms. Price might have been the biggest Cowboys fan. The Jones family and all of the big-name players knew her. She was everywhere all the time. #RIPMsPrice.”

Ed Werder also represented millions of Cowboys fans who wanted to pay tribute to Price, who has been the Cowboys insider for years, calling her one of a Kind. “God bless Ms. Price, the most vocal and devoted #Cowboys fan I’ve ever known. She was one of a kind. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻,” Werder wrote.

Fox Sports Radio and CBS Sports Radio host, J Tuck, couldn’t hold himself back from reacting to the passing of an 82-year-old Superfan. His message after the news was full of grief.

“Oh no Just Saw The Sad News My Cowboys Grandmama Mrs Price 🕊️ has passed away, she always was encouraging me and believed in me such a beautiful soul and she repped #Cowboysnation to the fullest, my thoughts and prayers are with your family!” he wrote on his X handle.

Apart from the above NFL fans, Emmy award winner Desmond Purnell also did not miss the opportunity to share his last message for one of the greatest Cowboys fans. “Countless interviews, countless laughs. Sincerest condolences to the family of Ms. Price… The Dallas Cowboys No. 1 Fan. #RIPMsPrice,” Purnell said.

Now, her absence marks the end of an era for the Cowboys and their fans. What comes next is remembrance.
