‘He Got the Attitude Back’ – Deion Sanders’ NFL Bound Son Shedeur Heaps Praise on Brother Shilo Following Electric Performance in Lubbock

There was high praise for Deion Sanders' son, Shilo Sanders, following the Colorado Buffaloes' Week 11 win over the Texas Tech Red Raiders.

NFL legend Deion Sanders’ team emerged victorious in a thrilling showdown in Lubbock in Week 11 of the college football season. The Colorado Buffaloes posted a 41-27 victory over the Texas Tech Red Raiders — Patrick Mahomes’ college team.

While the quarterback-wide receiver duo of Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter were the usual game stars, Coach Prime’s other son, Shilo Sanders, the Buffaloes’ defensive back, showed potential in his playmaking skills.

Shedeur Sanders Backs Brother Shilo Sanders

Shilo Sanders sealed the deal against the Red Raiders with a six-yard scoop-and-score touchdown. This play came with less than a minute remaining, as he pounced on a loose ball and sprinted into the end zone, putting the game out of reach.

This was Sanders’ second-ever touchdown, adding to his 2023 pick-six against Colorado State.

Sanders’ performance didn’t go unnoticed by brother, Shedeur, who praised Shilo’s resilience and attitude in the postgame press conference.

“I feel like he’s got the attitude back,” Shedeur said. “I think the injury set him back a little bit. Mentally and everything, I think it did a little bit, whether he admit it or not, but I think so. So now he’s going out there, he’s hitting how he’s supposed to, how he was back. He is happy and is on the right track.”

Shilo’s game stats included five solo tackles, one assisted tackle, and that game-defining fumble recovery.

On the other side of the ball, Shedeur, a top 2025 NFL Draft prospect, led the Buffaloes’ offense, throwing for 291 yards and three touchdowns. Two-way sensation Hunter added 99 yards and a touchdown on six receptions.

With this win, Colorado now stands second in the Big 12, with their path to the conference championship game looking promising. If they can keep up this momentum, Coach Prime’s squad might just secure a shot at the Big 12 title. With each victory, the Buffaloes’ story under the NFL veteran only gets more intriguing — and apparently, more target-worthy.

Deion Sanders and Buffaloes Dodge Objects From Fans

The Buffs, led by Coach Prime, continue to dominate the season, but their success hasn’t come without drama. Since Deion Sanders took over in Boulder, drama has never failed to follow him.

Following the Week 11 matchup, the Sanders clan faced flying objects from unhappy Red Raiders fans. Frustrated fans tossed water bottles and other items as the game slipped away from Texas Tech, creating an intense atmosphere in Jones AT&T Stadium.

Reflecting on the situation, Coach Prime said, “They were throwing everything but my mama at me. When they start throwing water bottles and those other objects, that’s when you’ve got to alert the officials…that’s getting a little crazy.”

Colorado’s win keeps them at 7-2, reinforcing their place in the AP Top 25 and their push for a Big 12 Championship.
