While it’s no secret that 34-year-old DeAndre Hopkins is past his prime, the five-time Pro Bowler could still provide an immediate impact for several Super Bowl-contending teams.
As training camp approaches, here are five teams that may be willing to take a chance on the 13-year veteran.
5 Free-Agency Destinations for DeAndre Hopkins
Baltimore Ravens
The Baltimore Ravens don’t have much depth at wide receiver right now. Behind Zay Flowers (No. 9-ranked WR in 2025, per PFSN) and Rashod Bateman, their next-best options are 2024 fourth-round pick Devontez Walker, 2026 third-rounder Ja’Kobi Lane, and 2026 fourth-rounder Elijah Sarratt.
Hopkins only managed 22 receptions for 330 yards and 2 touchdowns across 17 games for Baltimore in 2025. However, if they don’t feel Walker, Lane, and Sarratt are ready to step up, he could still provide a veteran presence in an extremely young pass-catching room.
Indianapolis Colts
The Indianapolis Colts dealt away Michael Pittman Jr. to the Pittsburgh Steelers this offseason.
While Alec Pierce (No. 13-ranked WR last season) and Josh Downs are expected to step up in Pittman’s absence, they have a glaring hole at WR3.

Quarterback Daniel Jones will need as much help as he can get coming off a season-ending Achilles tear, and Hopkins could provide another reliable, sure-handed option alongside receivers for a Super Bowl hopeful.
Kansas City Chiefs
Hopkins spent 10 games with the Kansas City Chiefs just two seasons ago, and despite the short stint, he came up big in several moments. He totaled 41 catches for 437 yards and 4 touchdowns, and added one more score in the Super Bowl.
A year and a half later, Kansas City could once again use the depth, and with Patrick Mahomes returning from a significant injury of his own, Hopkins would fit in nicely.
Dallas Cowboys
The Dallas Cowboys have arguably the NFL’s best wide receiver duo in CeeDee Lamb (No. 21-ranked WR) and George Pickens (No. 3-ranked WR). The team’s WR3 and WR4, Ryan Flournoy and KaVontae Turpin, are solid rotational pieces as well.

Still, Jerry Jones is always looking for a major splash move, and adding a big-name pass catcher like Hopkins would check that box for the 2026 offseason.
Philadelphia Eagles
The Philadelphia Eagles made a ton of moves at the receiver position this offseason.
They traded for Dontayvion Wicks, drafted Makai Lemon in the first round, and signed Hollywood Brown and Elijah Moore. They also sent away A.J. Brown to New England, leaving the outside X role wide open.
While obviously not at the same level of impact as Brown at this stage of his career, Hopkins would offer strong value on third downs and in the red zone for a true Super Bowl contender.
