Davison Igbinosun is a cornerback from Ohio State who is ranked No. 25 on my NFL Draft Top 100 Big Board. This comprehensive scouting report analyzes Igbinosun’s draft potential, current mock draft trends, and where he ranks among the top prospects.
Davison Igbinosun’s NFL Draft Potential
Davison Igbinosun showed promise through Ohio State’s National Championship 2024 campaign, but from an evaluative perspective, his over-reliance on extraneous physicality and his lack of penalty discipline held his stock back. Now, in 2025, he’s seemingly ironed that out of his game — for the most part.
There are still moments where Igbinosun gets too grabby, but he’s become a true “feet first” aficionado at 6’2″, and he has the rapid foot speed, terse corrective athleticism, and size-defying fluidity to match, redirect, and re-accelerate with ease. Add in Igbinosun’s competitive zeal in run support, as well as his stack-erasing vertical speed, and he has definite Round 1 upside.
CFB Week 9 Update
Ohio State was on a bye in Week 9, but they’ll return to the fold in Week 10 against the Penn State Nittany Lions. The Penn State passing game shouldn’t pose much of a threat to Igbinosun, but he’ll have a chance to sustain his impact as a boundary and crack-and-replace presence in the run game. Igbinosun’s support tape has been strong in 2025 — a function of his size, quickness, leverage acquisition, and physicality — but he’ll need to be on top of his game as a tackler in Week 10, if and when Kaytron Allen finds open space.
CFB Week 10 Update
The Penn State passing game was already not very imposing before James Franklin’s dismissal and Drew Allar’s injury. Now, it’s even less so. It makes sense then, that Igbinosun wasn’t challenged much by the Nittany Lions’ aerial attack in Week 10. Nevertheless, Igbinosun did his job, and fulfilled whichever role was asked of him.
In run defense, he patrolled the boundary, squared up blocks, and used his length to control the point, and in coverage, he managed space effectively, cluttering zone looks with his length, coverage mobility, and spatial awareness. Igbinosun will be tested the most down the stretch in the conference championship and CFB Playoffs. That’s where we’ll be able to truly settle on his valuation — but he has improved in 2025, even if the raw stats are similar.
CFB Week 11 Update
Igbinosun was targeted seven times by Purdue, and allowed just two completions for 13 yards, while notching two pass breakups, per TruMedia. He was measured and rangy in zone, and efficient matching and dictating receivers with his quickness and length in press-man, and he once again showcased how his speed can be an eliminating factor on the vertical plane.
There were occasional lapses in breakdown timing and discipline as a tackler, but Igbinosun continues to produce quality tape. Still, the Big Ten title game and CFB Playoffs will be the most telling.
Where Is Igbinosun Being Selected Most Often in the PFSN Mock Draft Simulator?

The gap between his rank and ADP indicates that while he’s highly regarded on our board, draft simulators are seeing him slide slightly, possibly due to team needs or positional value considerations.
