Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift are set to celebrate their wedding at Madison Square Garden on Friday, with roughly 1,000 guests expected to attend what has become arguably the most anticipated celebrity event of the summer.
Donna Kelce, the mother of the groom, was spotted arriving at LaGuardia Airport on Thursday morning, and after TMZ posted video of Donna walking through the airport terminal, Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy had a question about the whole scene.

TMZ’s video showed Donna smiling and waving as she made her way through the airport, but she declined to answer any questions from paparazzi about the wedding.
Portnoy quoted TMZ’s clip on X and wrote, “Flying commercial to their wedding seems odd.”
Given that Swift is widely known for her use of private jets and that the wedding itself will be very luxurious, Portnoy’s reaction tapped into something many fans were already thinking.
Moreover, some fans on social media didn’t like the paparazzi’s attempt to bombard Donna with questions while holding a camera in her face, as she clearly wanted to avoid answering any questions.

Donna wasn’t the only notable arrival in New York on Thursday. San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle and his wife, Claire, were photographed at Nashville International Airport beforehand carrying what appeared to be a blue suit in a garment bag.
Other confirmed guests include the likes of Selena Gomez, Gigi Hadid, Bradley Cooper, Zoë Kravitz, Cara Delevingne, and Margaret Qualley from Swift’s side, while Kittle, along with 49ers fullback Kyle Juszczyk, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, and Chiefs head coach Andy Reid, are expected to attend from Kelce’s side.
As for the wedding itself, multiple reports suggest the couple may already have handled the legal side. A source told Page Six that “they [Kelce and Swift] are already married,” with speculation pointing to a private ceremony before the celebrations at Madison Square Garden.

The location of the private ceremony has not yet been revealed, but the couple’s closest family members were reportedly all in attendance.
Swift and Kelce also donated $26 million to 20 charities ahead of their wedding. It will be interesting to see how and when the couple will answer the many questions about the details of their wedding, including how they invited so many guests and yet managed to keep most of the details under wraps.
