Davante Adams has been one of the most reliable wide receivers in the NFL for both his real-life teams and for fantasy football squads. The 10-year pro has 9,703 receiving yards and 87 touchdowns in his career, and he has been voted to six straight Pro Bowl games. He has also been fairly healthy in his career, missing only 12 games — one of which was a rest day in the final week of the regular season.
But Adams has popped up on the injury list this week for the Las Vegas Raiders and has already missed practice one day. What is the latest news on the star wide receiver? Will he be able to suit up on Sunday when the Raiders travel to Buffalo? Let’s dive in and find out the latest!

Latest News Surrounding Davante Adams
News popped up late Wednesday afternoon that Adams sat out of practice with a foot injury. Being a high draft pick in fantasy drafts, the news was certainly unwelcome by Adams’ fantasy managers. There was plenty of scrambling on the waiver wire to find options if Adams sat on Sunday.
But as rough as the news was on Wednesday, Thursday was the complete opposite. Adams practiced in full with the Raiders and appears to be good to go for this week’s matchup against the Buffalo Bills.
We will have to monitor Adams’ status on Friday to be sure he practices in full again. But barring any setbacks, it appears that fantasy managers escaped with no missed time for Adams.
Will Adams Play This Week?
Everything points to Adams taking the field on Sunday in Buffalo. While foot injuries can be tricky, Adams practicing in full just a day after being out speaks volumes about his health.
In any case, Adams is playing in the 1:00 p.m. ET set of games. If anything is to change for the worse with his status, fantasy managers will have plenty of options to pivot to in their lineups. Only Philadelphia Eagles and Minnesota Vikings players will be unavailable.
What Does This Mean for Adams’ Fantasy Ranking?
The biggest question for Adams and his foot injury is how much he may be impacted on the field Sunday in Buffalo. If this injury was enough for Adams to sit out of a practice, will it slow the star wide receiver down?
And all of this comes after a lackluster first week for Adams. He caught six passes for 66 yards on Sunday from new quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo.

While Adams’ score was nowhere near a goose egg, many fantasy managers expected a bit more from him. Any player drafted highly in a fantasy draft is a guy that managers rely on.
But this is Adams we are talking about. You don’t have nearly 10,000 yards in nine seasons purely from luck. Adams is an extremely gifted route runner and technician. I fully expect him to return to form and start racking up the points in fantasy soon.
