The New York Giants roster seems to be falling apart at the seams. After they gave the starting job to Jaxson Dart by benching Russell Wilson, the overwhelming feeling across the franchise and the fan base was positive. However, that feeling has been hard to maintain given the slew of injuries that have followed.
For his part, Dart has looked phenomenal. But key contributors like superstar wide receiver Malik Nabers and rookie running back sensation Cam Skattebo have all suffered season-ending injuries. Now, it seems like another name is getting added to the injury report, Darius Slayton.
What Happened to Darius Slayton?
Taking over the WR1 role after Nabers went down with a torn ACL, Slayton has been able to keep the offense afloat while becoming an extremely reliable target for Dart on a consistent basis.
Facing the Chicago Bears as they tried to get back in the winning column, his day did not last long. After making a highlight-worthy one-handed catch, he was getting checked out for a hamstring injury in the second quarter.

Soon after, reports emerged that he was headed back to the locker room, before the Giants officially confirmed, “WR Darius Slayton (hamstring) is questionable to return.” However, once the second half came around, he was right back on the field.
Immediately, his presence paid dividends for the Giants, who added another touchdown to the score to go up 17-7 early in the third quarter. Slayton, too, despite the injury to his hamstring, appeared to be fine, as he led the team with 89 receiving yards on four catches.
