‘Daniel Jones Has Reverted Back to the Pumpkin’ — NFL Fans React to Colts QB’s Performance vs. Falcons

The Indianapolis Colts’ Week 10 game against the Atlanta Falcons in Berlin served up as an eventful contest, with the first-ever NFL regular-season game in Berlin going into overtime.

While the Colts walked away with a 31-25 win, quarterback Daniel Jones once again found himself being scrutinized. Despite a record-setting performance from running back Jonathan Taylor, who rushed for 244 yards and three touchdowns, Jones’ turnovers and shaky play had fans questioning whether he has reverted to his previous struggles.

Fans React to Daniel Jones’ Interception Against the Falcons

The defining moment for Jones came in the first half, when the Colts were driving and attempting to reclaim the lead.

Jones tried to thread a pass to wide receiver Alec Pierce, but safety Jessie Bates III read the play perfectly and intercepted the ball. Bates was flagged for taunting, and the Colts went into halftime without conceding points.

Fans on X reacted to the play.

“Ran the ball the whole drive and got no points lmaoo Daniel jones got the staff scared now 😭😭😭😭😭,” a fan said.

“u can tell the lack of trust for Daniel Jones through this drive lol,” one fan added.

“People were saying Daniel Jones for MVP man lmaooooo,” another fan commented.

“Shane Stechien doesn’t even trust Daniel Jones enought [sic] to throw on 3rd and 3,” a fan wrote.

The fan conversation remained constant by Jones’ regression. His interception, coupled with uncharacteristic errors, fed the criticism after the interception.

“The Steelers broke Daniel jones 😭,” a fan said.

“Ladies and Gentlemen… I give you, Daniel Jones (the real one),” one fan commented.

“Daniel Jones has reverted back to the pumpkin,” another fan wrote.

Despite Jones managing to lead the team to important plays, including a clutch fourth-down completion to rookie tight end Tyler Warren late in regulation, his two turnovers, including a strip sack recovered by the Falcons, were glaring, as fans pointed.

Nevertheless, the Colts leaned on Taylor, whose record-breaking performance became the backbone of Indianapolis’ win. Taylor broke the franchise record for career rushing touchdowns with a 1-yard score early and capped the game with an 8-yard overtime touchdown. These helped offset Jones’ mistake, allowing the Colts to escape with a hard-fought win.
