Former NFL quarterback and current analyst Dan Orlovsky is making headlines with a bold draft prediction involving two high-profile college quarterbacks: Jaxson Dart of Ole Miss and Jalen Milroe of Alabama.
Known for his unfiltered views and deep understanding of quarterback mechanics, Orlovsky has been vocal lately about his belief that the draft community is undervaluing both Dart and Milroe.
According to him, NFL teams may be overlooking key traits in both prospects — decision-making, leadership, and athletic potential — that could help them make an impact at the next level. With the 2025 NFL Draft approaching, Orlovsky has confidently said both quarterbacks will come off the board earlier than most projections suggest.

Jaxson Dart, Jalen Milroe Will Be Selected ‘Higher Than Expected’ in 2025 NFL Draft
Orlovsky shared his thoughts on social media, saying, “He and Dart will both be drafted higher than expected.” The “he” refers to Milroe, who recently accepted an invitation to attend the 2025 NFL Draft — something typically reserved for expected first-rounders.

Milroe’s invite has surprised some, as many analysts still peg him as a second-round talent. Jason La Canfora of The Washington Post wrote that Milroe is “almost a lock to go in the second round” but admitted the quarterback is “making quite an impression on teams.”
Despite a somewhat uneven predraft process, Milroe’s athleticism and production at Alabama continue to turn heads, especially with teams picking late in the first round.
Orlovsky emphasized Dart’s arm strength, field vision, and leadership — traits he believes aren’t getting enough attention from other analysts. Most mock drafts currently project Dart as a late first-round pick or even outside Round 1, with teams like the Pittsburgh Steelers potentially taking him around No. 21. Orlovsky, though, sees him as a legit top-10 selection.
Orlovsky didn’t hold back calling Dart a top-tier draft prospect during a recent appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show.”
“I’m a Jaxson Dart guy … I don’t think he makes it out the top 10. If I were the Raiders, if I were the Jets, if I were the Saints, I would be very seriously considering drafting him in the top 10,” Orlovsky said.
Orlovsky’s confidence in Dart and Milroe stands out from the broader draft consensus. His belief that they’ll be selected earlier than expected could prove true if teams decide to take a swing on upside and traits. With the draft getting closer, we’ll see soon enough how it all shakes out.
