The Latest Update From Stephon Gilmore

Early in the game, Gilmore went down with a right shoulder injury. He went to the medical tent and eventually to the locker room.

He was then seen on the sidelines during the game wearing a sling.

After the game, he said that his shoulder had popped out of place, and the medical staff popped it back in.

“I feel way better now, so I’m just excited for this week,” said Gilmore.

He said this is the first time he has dealt with this injury, and it was painful at first, but he felt better. He doesn’t believe the injury will keep him out next week for the Cowboys’ Wild Card Round game against the Packers.

After the game, head coach Mike McCarthy echoed the same message, saying Gilmore was fine and the veteran would be ready to go come Sunday.

Gilmore’s Impact

Gilmore was traded to the Cowboys from the Colts in March in exchange for a compensatory fifth-round draft pick.

The veteran made an immediate impact on the Cowboys’ locker room.

His teammates have praised him for the veteran leadership and mentorship he has given them since his arrival.

He took the lead in the cornerback room after Trevon Diggs went down at practice with a season-ending ALC injury in September.

His impact on the field has been impactful this season as well.

Gilmore ends the regular season with a career-high 68 combined tackles and two interceptions.
